ABSTRAK

Pada penelitian ini telah dibuat adsorben komposit serbuk cangkang kupang - khitosan yang terikat silang glutaraldehid 02 dimana masing-masing bahan dapat mengikat logam Cu II secara kontinu menggunakan sistem fixed-bed kolom.. Adsorben cangkang kupang -khitosan ini dimasukkan ke dalam kolom yang berdiameter 15 cm dan konsentrasi awal larutan Cu II adalah 100 mgL. Variasi yang digunakan adalah laju alir influen 15 mLmenit 2 mLmenit dan 25 mLmenit variasi komposisi adsorben dibuat dalam fraksi berat serbuk cangkang kupang 9375 9524 dan 9615 dan juga variasi pH awal larutan dengan pengaturan dan tanpa pengaturan. Pada pH awal larutan yang tanpa pengaturan digunakan khusus untuk komposisi adsorben dengan fraksi berat serbuk cangkang kupang 9615 dengan laju alir 25 mLmenit. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa laju alir influen komposisi adsorben dan pH awal larutan mempengaruhi kapasitas adsorpsi masing-masing adsorben yaitu semakin cepat laju alir maka kapasitas adsorpsi juga semakin besar semakin besar komposisi adsorben yaitu fraksi berat serbuk cangkang kupang maka kapasitas adsorpsinya akan semakin menurun. Pengaruh pH awal larutan terhadap kapasitas adsorpsi yaitu pH awal larutan yang diatur menggunakan pH optimum pada pH 4 memiliki kapasitas adsorpsi yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan larutan awal tanpa pengaturan pH


ABSTRACT

In this research sea shell- chitosan composite powder adsorben cross linked with glutaraldehid 02 were used to adsorp CuII in fixed-bed column system. This adsorben placed in fixed- bed column 15 cm in diameter and at initial concentration 100 mgL. Flow rate was varied at 1mLmin 2 mLmin 25 mLmin composition of adsorben was varied with weight fraction 9375 9524 and 9615 and initial pH was adjusted at pH 4 and without adjusted. Unadjusted initial pH used especially for composition of sea shell powder 9615 by flow rate 25 mLmin. Result showed that influent flow rate adsorben composition and the initial pH solution affected adsoption capacity of each adsorben. The higher flow rate caused the higher adsorption capacity. The higher adsorben composition of sea shell powder weight fraction caused the lower lower adsorption capacity. In addition solution adjusted at initial pH 4 has higher capacity than at unadjusted pH solution.
