COMPARATION OF BATHYMETRY SURVEY RESULTS IN COASTAL AREA USING BATHYMETRIC CHART AND ASTER SATELLITE IMAGERY IN PATI CENTRAL JAVA

ABSTRAK

Salah satu aplikasi dari teknologi Penginderaan Jauh adalah untuk pemetaan batimetri perairan dangkal di daerah pesisir. Salah satu citra yang dapat digunakan adalah Citra ASTER karena citra ini memiliki band VNIR Visible and Near-Infrared Radiometer yang baik digunakan untuk pemetaan laut. Lokasi yang diambil adalah di Pati Jawa Tengah. Pengolahan citra meliputi masking transformasi citra dengan metode DOP Depth Of Penetration Algoritma Jupp dan klasifikasi Tak Terselia yang dilakukan dengan Software ER Mapper 7.0. Informasi yang dihasilkan adalah kedalaman dan garis pantai yang nantinya akan dibandingkan dengan peta batimetri yang telah ada. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 4 zona DOP yang menggambarkan zona DOP dari peta batimetri perairan dangkal. Terdapat perbedaan hasil kedalaman dan garis pantai antara citra ASTER dan peta batimetri. Perbedaan nilai kedalaman yang paling besar adalah 05 m dan perbedaan garis pantai terbesar adalah 550 m.


ABSTRACT

One of the application of Remote sensing technology is used for bathymetric mapping of shallow waters in the coastal areas. Image that can be used is Aster Satellite Imagery because this image has VNIR band Visible and Near-Infrared Radiometer which is used for sea mapping. Location in this research is in Pati Central Java. Processing includes image masking process image transformation using DOP Depth of penetration method Jupp algorithm and unsupervised classification using ER mapper 7.0. The information generated is the depth and the coastline which later will be compared to bathymetric chart that has been mentioned before. Result from this research is DOP zone 4 which describe the interval contours of the bathymetric chart of shallow waters. There are differences of the depth results and the coastline between Aster satellite imagery and bathymetric chart. The biggest different of all depths have knowledgeable 0.5 metres and the biggest difference of the coastline is 550 metres.
