ABSTRAK

Sistem distribusi tabung Elpiji merupakan suatu closed loop supply chain. Seiring dengan diberlakukannya program konversi minyak tanah ke Elpiji 3 kg terjadi persaingan antar pelaku yang menyebabkan ketidakteraturan dalam pendistribusian. Ketidakteraturan tersebut menyebabkan permintaan Elpiji manjadi fluktuatif sehingga jumlah kebutuhan tabung di tiap pelaku juga semakin tinggi. Penelitian ini akan mencoba untuk membandingkan kebutuhan tabung untuk sistem distribusi Elpiji 3 kg existing sistem terbuka dan sistem perbaikan kebijakan sistem tertutup. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simulasi diskrit menggunakan software Arena 5.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan diterapkannya sistem tertutup dalam distribusi Elpiji 3 kg dapat menurunkan jumlah stockout dan inventory di agen tabung yang beredar di keseluruhan sistem serta jumlah pembelian tabung baru.


ABSTRACT

The distribution of LPGs tube is a closed loop supply chain. The existence of conversion program of petroleum into LPG causing a competition between each distribution player. That competition makes the distribution of LPG 3 kg unorganized and can cause volatile demand so that LPGs tube need in each player decreased. This research will try to compare the need of LPGs tube for existing Elpiji 3 kg distribution system open system and closed system. This research used discrete simulation method with software Arena 5.0. This research resulted that closed system can reduce stock out inventory the amount of tube in whole system and the amount of new tube purchasing.
