STUDI TENTANG PENGARUH RONGGA TERHADAP DAYA ABSORPSI BUNYI

STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF CAVITY TO THE POWER OF SOUND ABSORPTION

ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian rongga udara dan rockwool pada pemasangan tripleks dengan tebal 6 cm terhadap koefisien absorpsi bunyi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ruang dengung. Pengukuran dilakukan di laboratorium Akustik Fisika ITS dengan volome 3342 m2. Dari hasil analisa dan perhitungan diperoleh bahwa penambahan rongga udara dapat menaikkan nilai koefisien absorpsi namun tidak linier terhadap lebar rongga. Penambahan rockwool di dalam rongga juga dapat menaikkan kemampuan bahan untuk mengabsorpsi bunyi. Ruang uji laboratorium Akustik Fisika FMIPA ITS dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pengukuran koefisien absorpsi bunyi pada frekuensi tinggi 2000 Hz 8000 Hz.


ABSTRACT

A research is conducted on the effect of giving air cavity and rockwool at installing plywood with the thickness 6 cm the sound absorption coefficient. In the research the drone space method is used. The experiment is done in the ITS Physics Acoustic Laboratory in the volume 33.42m2. The result of the analyses and the calculation shows that the increasing of air cavity can increase the value of absorption coefficient but it is not linear to the width of the cavity. Adding rockwool inside the cavity can also increase the material capability to absorb sound. The experiment room of Physics Acoustic Laboratory FMIPA ITS can be used to do measuring sound absorption coefficient at high frequency 2000 Hz 8000 Hz.
