PENATAAN SISTEM PARKIR TRAILER DALAM MAKET TERMINAL PETIKEMAS BERBASIS RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN SIMULASI

ORDERING TRAILER AREA PARKING SYSTEM ON MAKET OF SEAPORT CONTAINER BASED RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION USING SIMULATION

ABSTRAK

Teknologi Radio Frequency Identification RFID merupakan jenis teknologi auto detection. Dalam penelitian ini ingin menerapkan teknologi ini di PT.Terminal Petikemas Surabaya PT.TPS untuk mengurangi unnecessary shifting yang disebabkan karena kedatangan trailer yang bersifat random. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa penerapan RFID berdampak pada proses bisnis PT.TPS yakni dengan adanya penambahan parkiran sementara yang berfungsi untuk mengatur trailer sebelum masuk ke area yard. Parkiran ini harus kita tentukan terlebih dahulu berapakah kapasitasnya dan berapa lama trailer harus ditahan di dalamnya. Sebelum teknologi ini diuji coba untuk diterapkan di industri nyata maka perlu membuat model maket dari proses bisnis di PT.TPS terlebih dahulu. Model maket ini digunakan sebagai sarana untuk melakukan percobaan penerapan teknologi RFID mempelajari karakteristik dan perilaku teknologi RFID lebih jauh dan sekaligus sebagai sarana komunikasi dengan pihak pihak yang berkepentingan untuk mempelajari gambaran umum pola - pola perubahan sistem bisnis di PT.TPS. Model maket ini didesain dengan menggunakan software Autocad 2005 dan 3Ds Max 2009. Model maket ini adalah model maket yang komponen - komponennya bisa bergerak. Komponen komponen bergerak tersebut adalah trailer dan Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane RTGC. Sebelum model maket ini digerakan maka perlu dilakukan penentuan berapakah kecepatan pergerakan trailer berapa jumlah trailer berapa lama trailer ditahan di parkiran. Metode yang dipergunakan untuk menentukan semua variabel tersebut dengan menggunakan pendekatan model simulasi. Simulasi ini dibuat dengan menggunakan software arena 5.0. Berdasarkan hasil running simulai dalam beberapa kali replikasi diketahui bahwa semakin banyak trailer yang datang yang tidak terencana maka kebutuhan parkiran semakin besar semakin cepat pergerakan trailer di maket maka kebutuhan parkiran juga cenderung meningkat demikian pula semakin lama trailer ditahan di parkiran maka kebutuhan parkiran juga semakin meningkat.


ABSTRACT

Radio Frequency Identification RFID is one of kinds autodetection technology. In this research we want to apply it on PT.Terminal Petikemas Surabaya PT.TPS to reduce unnecessary shifting that is caused by arrival of trailer random. During research knowing that application of RFID impact to business process at PT.TPS that it must provide parking area for trailer. This is used to manage arriving of trailer before entrance yard area. This parking area must first we decide how wide and how long trailer must be hold in there. Before this technology applying in real world we need to try applying it on prototype model in this research we use maket. This maket become our object to make some experiment of applying RFID technology learn characteristics and behaviour of RFID more extensifly and all at once to communicate or discuss with any one related to this project. This maket model is designated using software Autocad 2005 and 3Ds Max 2009. On maket containing component that can moving such as trailer and Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane RTGC. Before this maket doing run we must make some experiment to decide how fast trailer move on maket how many trailer must be made and how long its hold in parking area. To answer this question we use simulation method. This simulation model is made using software arena 5.0. After running simulation we get some conclussion. There are more arrival trailer that unplanned more we need capacity of parking area faster and faster trailer move on maket more we need capacity of parking area and at last longer and longer we hold trailer at parking area we need more capacity of parking area.
