SEDIMENTATION BLOCKING RESEARCH IN DOMESTIC QUAY TERMINAL PETI KEMAS SURABAYA

ABSTRAK

Sedimentasi yang terlalu tinggi menyebabkan kesulitan bagi kapal yang akan berlabuh di dermaga domestik terutama pada saat surut. Pada tahun 2008 laju sedimentasi di dermaga domestik TPS mencapai 150.000 m3 - 200.000 m3 per tahun. Laju sedimentasi terbesar 19.195 m3 per bulan. Untuk menanggulangi sedimentasi yang terjadi maka dilakukan rekayasa teknis dengan menggunakan Underwater Sill Model I dan Model U. Laju sedimentasi pada model eksisting setelah dilakukan simulasi selama 15 hari sebesar 76.583 m3. Laju sedimentasi pada skenario Underwater Sill model I setelah dilakukan simulasi selama 15 hari sebesar 75.735 m3sedangkan laju sedimentasi yang terjadi pada Model U sebesar 96.390 m3. Setelah dilakukan overlay antara skenario eksisting dengan skenario model I didapatkan volume sedimentasi sebesar 8.907 m3 dan volume erosi sebesar 9.756 m3. Hasil overlay antara model struktur U dengan skenario eksisting didapatkan jumlah volume sedimentasi sebesar 20.904 m3 dan volume erosi yang terjadi sebesar 1.097 m3. Dari hasil simulasi dapat diketahui bahwa aplikasi model I lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model U untuk menanggulangi sedimentasi.


ABSTRACT

The high sedimentation can cause difficulties for the vessel to be berthed in the domestic pier. In 2008 the volume of sedimentation in the PT Terminal Peti Kemas Surabaya TPS domestic pier were about 150.000 m3 to 200.000 m3. Largest sedimentation rate recorded as 19195 m3 per month. To solve problem of high sedimentation a structure that called Underwater Sill were proposed. The structures has two shapes i.e I model and U Model. The simulation for 360 hours shows the existing deposition is 76.583 m3. In the I model structure the volume of sediment deposition reach 75.735 m3. By overlaying the result of existing situation to Model I a sedimentation of 8.907 m3 and erosion of 9.756 m3 were occured. While in In the U model shows the deposition of 96.390 m3 sediment. By overlaying the existing result and Model U results the volume deposition were 20.904 m3 and the volume of erosion that occurred for 1.097 m3. The simulation show that model I has better result than model U in reducing sedimentation.
