ABSTRAK

Tugas akhir ini membahas sebuah rancangan desain alat konversi energi angin. Alat tersebut merubah energi angin yang berhembus menjadi putaran putaran yang dihasilkan digunakan untuk menggerakkan generator. Acuan dalam mendesain alat konversi energi ini adalah tepat guna sederhana murah dan mudah diaplikasikan. Angin yang bertiup di pulau bawean memiliki rata-rata 5 ms sehingga rotor yang paling tepat adalah rotor type savonius. Desain rotor savonius dan sistemnya mengacu pada penelitian parameter desain yang pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Agar cocok untuk kondisi pulau Bawean rotor ditambah dengan pengarah-angin guna menambah putaran. Untuk mengetahui energi angin perlu dicari distribusi angin yang terjadi. Setelah itu memasukkan hasil dari koevisien power rotor maka dapat diketahui berapa besar energi yang dapat diperoleh. Untuk mengetahui berapa besar koefisien power diperlukan pengujian pada terowongan angin dari rotor yang telah didesain. Hasil pengujian diperoleh Cp pada rotor dengan pengarah-angin memiliki Cp yang lebih baik dari pada tanpa pengarah-angin. Rata-rata energi angin yang dapat dikonversi setiap bulan adalah 190215 Watt


ABSTRACT

This Final Project discuss about design of wind energy conversion device. The tool changing winds of energy into rotation rotation is used to drive generators. Reference in designing the energy conversion device is effective simple inexpensive and easily applied. The wind is blowing in Bawean average 5 m s so that the most appropriate rotor is the rotor type savonius. Savonius rotor design and system refers to the study design parameters that have been done before. To be suitable for the condition on Bawean island rotor plus with wind-direction in order to increase the spin. To learn for wind energy can look from wind distribution occurs. After put the results of the rotor coefficient power it can be known how much energy can be obtained. To find out how much power coefficient is required tests in wind tunnel of rotors that have been designed. Cp obtained test results on the rotor with the wind direction has a Cp is better than the no-wind steering. The average wind energy can be converted every month is 190.215 Watt
