DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION VOIP SERVER BASED PARALLEL PROCESSING METHOD

ABSTRAK

Dalam perkembangan telekomunikasi pertukaran informasi khususnya suara mengarah ke komunikasi berbasis jaringan IP. Komunikasi suara analog melalui PSTN sudah mulai ditinggalkan dan beralih ke komunikasi digital yaitu VoIP. Dengan semakin berkembangnya jumlah pengguna VoIP diperlukan sebuah server VoIP yang mampu menangani jumlah panggilan simultan yang banyak. Parallel processing adalah teknik komputasi yang digunakan untuk memecahkan suatu permasalahan menjadi fragmen-fragmen di mana setiap fragmen akan diselesaikan oleh unit pemroses yang terpisah. Parallel processing dapat digunakan sebagai metode untuk peningkatan kapasitas panggilan simultan yang mampu ditangani oleh server VoIP yaitu dengan memanfaatkan resource memori dan CPU pada komputer node pemroses. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan bahwa jumlah panggilan simultan yang mampu ditangani server parallel processing meningkat. Sebuah server standalone mampu menangani 8 panggilan tiga buah server standalone dengan trunking adalah 23 panggilan sedangkan pada server parallel processing dengan dua node pemroses adalah 29 panggilan. Di sisi lain QoS performance menurun pada server standalone tanpa trunking didapatkan rata-rata propagation delay 20.10ms call setup delay 904.375ms jitter 5.25ms dan packet loss 0 dengan trunking propagation delay 46.63ms call setup delay 798.267ms jitter 52.95ms packet loss 0.3867 dan pada server parallel processing didapatkan propagation delay 20.64995ms call setup delay 1380.655ms jitter 5.719ms dan packet loss 0.186.


ABSTRACT

In the development of telecommunications information exchange particularly towards the voice-based communications IP network. Analog voice communication via the PSTN is becoming obsolete and the switch to digital communications is VoIP. With the growing number of VoIP users VoIP required a server that is able to handle the number of simultaneous calls that a lot. Parallel processing is a computational technique used to solve a problem into fragments where each fragment will be resolved by a separate processing unit. Parallel processing can be used as a method for increasing the capacity of simultaneous calls that can be handled by the VoIP server is using memory and CPU resources on a computer processor nodes. From the test results it was found that the number of simultaneous calls that can handle parallel processing servers increases. A standalone server is able to handle 8 calls three standalone server with trunking is 23 calls whereas parallel processing on a server with two processor node is 29 calls. On the other hand QoS performance declines on a standalone server without trunking obtained average propagation delay is 20.10ms call setup delay 904.375ms 5.25ms jitter and packet loss 0 with trunking propagation delay is 46.63ms call setup delay is 798 267 ms 52.95ms jitter packet loss was 0.3867 and parallel processing on the server 20.64995ms obtained propagation delay call setup delay 1380.655ms 5.719ms jitter and packet loss 0186.
