PERFORMANCE COMPARISON ANALISYS BETWEEN ASTERISK VoIP SERVER AND KAMAILIO ON PARALLEL PROCESSING SERVER

ABSTRAK

Jaringan VoIP berpusat pada suatu server VoIP. Server VoIP ini menangani semua pengguna yang sudah terdaftar pada server tersebut. Semakin banyak pengguna maka kerja server akan semakin berat. Oleh karena itu diperlukan server VoIP yang memiliki performansi tinggi. Server tersebut dapat dibangun dengan menggunakan metode parallel processing. Parallel processing merupakan suatu metode pembagian proses yang dilakukan oleh server kepada node-node sehingga suatu program dapat dijalankan lebih cepat Ada beberapa software server VoIP open source yang tersedia. Diantaranya adalah asterisk dan kamailio. Pada tugas akhir ini kedua server VoIP tersebut akan dibangun dengan menggunakan metode parallel processing kemudian performa keduanya dibandingkan baik saat menggunakan parallel processing maupun tidak. Dari situ akan diketahui server VoIP mana yang cocok diterapkan pada parallel processing. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan pengukuran yang telah dilakukan metode parallel processing dapat meningkatkan kapasitas maksimum dari server VoIP asterisk yaitu dari 13 panggilan simultan menjadi 28 panggilan simultan. sedangkan pada kamailio tidak ada perbedaan kapasitas maksimum server antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan parallel processing. Pada server asterisk tunggal diperoleh rata-rata delay 20.19429 ms jitter 3.850872ms dan packet loss 0.sedangkan ketika menggunakan parallel processing rata-rata delay server asterisk sebesar 20.50221ms jitter 5.512987 dan packet loss 178. Pada kamilio server tunggal diperoleh rata-rata delay 20.20801ms jitter 3.859726ms dan packet loss 0089 sedangkan ketika menggunkan parallel processing rata-rata delay yang terjadi 20.21244675 ms jitter 3.902887ms dan packet loss 00837.


ABSTRACT

VoIP network is based on a VoIP server. VoIP server handles all client which has been registered to the server. More user registered make the VoIP server work harder. To solve that problem we need VoIP server with high performance. High performance VoIP server can be made by using parallel processing method. Parallel processing is method that dividing a process by front-end server to the nodes so program will run faster. There are several open source VoIP server software. Among of them were asterisk and kamailio. In this final project that two VoIP server will be implemented on a server which use parallel processing than performance of VoIP server will be compared each other. By the comparation we will know which VoIP server is suitable to be applied in parallel processing. In order to result of implementation that have been done parallel processing method increase asterisk VoIP server capability to handle simultaneous call from 13 simultaneous call to 28 simultaneous call while in kamailio there is no different before and after use parallel processing. Standalone asterisk server has average delay delay 20.19429 ms jitter 3.850872ms dan packet loss 0 than when use parallel processing average delay 20.50221ms jitter 5.512987 dan packet loss 178. Standalone kamailio server has average delay 20.20801ms jitter 3.859726ms dan packet loss 0089 than when use parallel processing average delay .21244675 ms jitter 3.902887ms dan packet loss 00837.
