Untuk menciptakan kinerja mandiri TNI AD dalam pembangunan di bidang keamanan maka dibutuhkan kapal angkut yang memadai. Dengan alasan tersebut maka dilakukan usaha untuk meningkatkan kembali kemampuan angkut dan distribusi logistik dari TNI AD, salah satunya melalui perancangan desain kapal angkut BBM yang multiguna. Kemampuan multigunanya antara lain, sebagai alternatif transportasi laut perintis, distribusi pasukan TNI AD, dan pengangkutan obyek angkutan. Kapal ini juga diharapkan dapat beroperasi pada daerah-daerah pulau terluar. Karena memiliki fungsi dan misi yang sangat vital tersebutlah maka dibutuhkan kehandalan teknis dan ekonomi dari perancangan kapal ini.
Adapun pada penelitian skripsi ini didapatkan ukuran utama dari kapal tersebut yakni Lpp = 47.8 m, H= 4.3 m, T= 3.6 m, dan Vs=12 knot. Kemudian gambar rencana garis, rencana umum, dan sistem bongkar muat dari hasil perancangan kapal ini turut dikaji dan dianalisis. Berdasarkan analisa kelayakan investasi dengan metode B/C, maka proyek ini dinilai sangat menguntungkan dengan nilai rasio 2.54.

Adequate carrier units are an important requirement to fulfill the independency of TNI AD, for the purposes of increasing national security. There are many ways of implementing that particular purpose, in particular by designing a multipurpose carrier. Other sorts of its multipurposeness will include as being an alternative in pioneer marine transportation, distribution of TNI AD troops, and hauling military equipments. and then it is expected to operate in the outer regions of the island. It is of great importance that the design reflects proficient consideration of its technical and economical aspects to ensure ultimate performance and optimilisation of the unit’s functions. Thorough research has been done, it has been ruled out that the principal dimension for the ship are as follows: Lpp = 47.8 m, H=4.3 m, T=3.6 m, Vs=12 knots. The drawing of lines plan, general arrangement, also loading and unloading system have also been an important part reviewed and analysed. Based on Investation feasibility, using the B/C method. It has been discovered that this particular project has an ratio value of 2.54, reflecting its immense beneficiality.
