Description:

Peradaban manusia yang semakin maju dengan pesatnya, menuntut kecepatan, serta efisiensi yang optimal dalam setiap melakukan suatu aktivitas. Excavator merupakan alat berat yang sering dipergunakan pada pekerjaan konstruksi, kehutanan dan industri pertambangan karena alat ini dapat melakukan berbagai macam pekerjaan. Pada pengkajian ini analisa gaya menggunakan metode polygon tertutup dimana pada bucket-stick-boom-swing dianalisa sehingga diperoleh gaya pada silinder piston dan swing motor untuk dapat menggali tanah jenis gravel. Hasil dari gaya-gaya yang didapat dari pengkajian yang dilakukan pada proses penggalian adalah 135,52 kN pada piston bucket, 265,92 kN pada piston stick, 65,06 kN pada piston boom. Gaya pada proses pengangkatan adalah 101,71 kN pada piston bucket, 237,49 kN pada piston stick, 268,13 kN pada piston boom. Gaya pada proses pembuangan adalah 10,09 kN pada piston bucket, 57,75 kN pada piston stick, 161,25 kN pada piston boom. Gaya pada proses berputar adalah 224,63 kN pada swing motor. Serta estimasi waktu kerja yang didapat pada proses gerakan penggalian adalah 43,63 detik, pada proses gerakan pengangkatan adalah 23,94 detik, pada proses gerakan pembuangan adalah 37,61 detik dan pada proses gerakan kombinasi adalah 92,46 detik.

Human civilization is more advanced with rapid growth, demanding speed and optimum efficiency within each perform an activity. Excavators are heavy equipment is often used in construction, forestry and mining industries because this tool can do various jobs. In this study style analysis using closed polygon method in which the bucket-boom-stick-swing is analyzed in order to obtain the force on the piston cylinder and motor swing to be able to digging gravel soil type. Results from the forces obtained from study performed on the digging process is 135.52 kN at piston bucket, 265.92 kN at piston stick, 65.06 kN at piston boom. Forces on the raiseing process is 101.71 kN at piston bucket, 237.49 kN at piston stick, 268.13 kN at piston boom. Forces on the disposal process is 10.09 kN at piston bucket, 57.75 kN at piston stick, 161.25 kN at piston boom. Forces on the swing process is 224.63 kN on the swing motor. And estimated time of work was obtained in the process of digging movement is 43.63 seconds, in the process of raiseing movement is 23.94 seconds, in the process of disposal movement is 37.61 seconds, and in the process of combination movement is 92.46 seconds.
