PENGHAPUSAN NOISE PADA CITRA DENGAN FILTER ADAPTIVE-HIERARCHICAL

ABSTRAK

Filter median merupakan salah satu metode untuk perbaikan citra yang bertujuan untuk menghilangkan noise. Akan tetapi untuk wilayah yang lebih detail seperti pada edge dan texture filter median tidak dapat menjangkaunya atau bahkan pada kerapatan noise yang tinggi akan merusak piksel. Pada tugas akhir ini Metode filter adaptive-hierarchical digunakan untuk menghapus noise berdasarkan estimasi true edge yang dihasilkan dari sebuah piramida citra. Piramida citra diperoleh dari pelevelan citra dengan memperkecil ukuran citra sebanyak dua kali. Metode filtering ini pada dasarnya membedakan antara proses filtering pada piksel tepi dari piksel-piksel lainnya.Hasil dari uji coba menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode filter adaptive-hierarchical hasil filtering terhadap citra lebih tajam dan perhitungan errornya lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan metode filter median dan Switching Median


ABSTRACT

The salt and pepper noise is usually reduced by Median filter method. But median filter method cant handle more detailed areas such as edge and textures. In this final project an Adaptive-hierarchical filtering method is used to remove noise based on a true edge estimation that resulted from a set of pyramid images. Pyramid images are obtained from the image leveling by resizing twice in to smaller images. This filtering method basically differentiate between the filtering process of edge pixels from other pixels. The Experimental results show that images sharpness is better when using filter adaptive-hierarchical method than filter median method. Filter adaptive-hierarchical method also produce less error than filter median method
