ABSTRAK

Di berbagai industri umumnya proses yang di kontrol adalah multiple input multiple output MIMO dimana pada sistem MIMO ini adanya keterkaitan antara proses satu dengan yang lainnya sehingga input pada proses satu dapat mempengaruhi output pada proses lainnnya. Keadaan ini memberikan kesulitan bagi desainer kontrol untuk membuat sistem kontrol yang mampu mengatasi karakteristik tersebut. Salah satu jenis kontroller yang cukup baik menangangani plant MIMO adalah MPC Model Predictive Controller dan pada ekperimen kali ini MPC yang digunakan adalah jenis DMC Dynamic Matrix Controller. Kontroller DMC adalah salah satu jenis MPC yang paling banyak digunakan. Untuk mengaplikasikan plant MIMO pada kontroller DMC disini digunakan 2 buah heater yang dipasang pada sebuah silinder pejal. 2 buah termokopel juga ditempelkan pada silinder tersebut yang berfungsi untuk memantau kenaikan temperaturnya. Dalam perancangan kontroller ini melalui 2 tahap yaitu tahap simulasi dan tahap implementasi. Pada tahap simulasi meliputi open loop testsistem identifikasi dan penggunaan algoritma DMC. Tahap ini diperlukan untuk menentukan sistem kontrol yang baik untuk di implementasikan pada plant. v Dari simulasi kontroller tersebut maka didapatkan parameter-paramater kontrol yaitu horizon prediksi horizon kontrol lambda dan alpha. Setelah didapatkan parameter-parameter tersebut maka dapat langsung diimplementasikan pada plant sehingga kontroller dapat menjaga temperatur pada setpoint yang diinginkan.


ABSTRACT

MIMO process is commonly used in many industrial applications. MIMO process is a system which has interconnection between one process to another which means that input one affects to the ouput of the other process and input two to another and so on. This condition make dificulty for control system designer to make a good controller. One of the controller which can be used to handle MIMO process is MPC Model Predictive Controller and type of MPC which is used in this experiment is DMC Dynamic Matrix Controller. DMC is one of the MPC controller that mostly used. To describe MIMO plant this experiment using two heaters which mounted on a shaft and two thermocouples which are plugged on it to monitor the temperature changes. This controller design will pass two steps simulation and implementation.Simulation step consists of open loop test system identification and DMC control algorithm. This step used to determine the controller parameters needed to implemented to the real plant. From the controller simulation we got controllers parameters i.e prediction horizon control horizon move suppresion factor and alpha. After we got those parameters then it can be implemented to the real plant.
