ABSTRAK

Biogas merupakan salah satu sumber energi alternatif pengganti bahan bakar minyak dan sebagai sumber energi yang dapat diperbarui renewable serta diperoleh dari kotoran hewan maupun limbah melalui proses anaerobik. Salah satu limbah yang potensial untuk pembuatan biogas adalah limbah cair pabrik etanol. Dalam pembuatan biogas proses anaerobik yang terjadi dilakukan di dalam bioreaktor dengan volume 5.000 L. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menaikkan produksi biogas dari limbah cair pabrik etanol vinasse lebih besar dari 037 m3Kg COD yang dihilangkan dengan mengatur COD influent dan sirkulasi. Feed dibuat dengan mencampur limbah etanol dengan air sesuai variabel COD Influent yaitu 4.000 mgL4.500 mgL 5.000 mgL dan 6.000 mgL dengan HRT 4 hari. Feed dinetralkan dengan menambahkan kristal NaOH padat serta ditambahkan juga urea untuk memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi bakteri penghasil metane dengan perbandingan CN 1000125. Setelah feed dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor dilakukan sirkulais 105 dan sirkulasi 11. Untuk sirkulasi dilakukan pada variabel 11 produksi biogas lebih besar 103 daripada sirkulasi 1 05.Produksi biogas maksimum diperoleh pada konsentrasi COD 6.000 mgL yaitu sebesar 038 m3Kg COD removal dengan COD removal sebesar 66.


ABSTRACT

Biogas is one of alternative energy sources and fuel oil as a renewable energy that obtained from animal manure or waste by anaerobic processes. One of the potential waste for biogas production is the ethanol plant wastewater. In making biogas anaerobic process that occurs in the reactor were performed with volume of 5000 L. The purpose of this research is to increase biogas production from ethanol plant wastewater vinasse greater than 0.37 m3kg COD removal by adjusting the COD influent concentration and circulation. With 4 days HRT the COD influent concentration that being used is 4.000 mgL 4.500 mgL 5.000 mgL and 6.000 mgL. Feed neutralized by adding NaOH crystals. It also added urea to meet the nutritional needs metane producing bacteria with a ratio C N 1000125. After the feed is inserted into the reactor performed sirkulais 105 and 11 circulation. For circulation performed on 11 variable biogas production increased by 103 than the treatment of circulation 1 0.5.From the research the maximum biogas production was obtained at the concentration of 6000 mgL that is equal to 0.38 m3kg COD removal with COD removal of 66.
