ABSTRAK

PT. ASTRA OTOPART merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi komponen komponen sepeda motor. Karena ada permintaan dari masyarakat untuk fungsi sepeda motor sebagai sarana angkut barang PT. ASTRA OTOPART berusaha untuk memproduksi bagasi sepeda motor yang terbuat dari plastik. Sampai saat ini produk tersebut belum dibuat dan akan dibuat di dalam perusahaan sendiri. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut perlu dirancang cetakan untuk proses injection molding yang sesuai. Pada Tugas Akhir ini akan di rancang proses injection molding untuk bagasi sepeda motor. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah menggambar produk tersebut dalam model 3 dimensi dengan menggunakan Mechanical Desktop. Dengan menggunakan mesin injection Mitsubhisi Met III Series kapasitas 300 ton dirancang cetakan dan komponen utamanya meliputi jumlah dan lay out cavity sistem saluran clamping force saluran pendinginan dan pendukung lainnya selanjutnya gambar cetakan tersebut di eksport kedalam bentuk IGS STL dengan menggunakan Moldflow Plastic Insight 5.0 untuk disimulasikan dan mengevaluasi proses cetakan. Dari hasil perancangan dapat diperoleh jumlah cavity adalah 1 dimensi sistem saluran dan estimasi harga pembuatan untuk proses manufacture 1 cetakan bagasi sepeda motor bottom cover sebesar Rp. 87.909.687 dan berupa parameter proses yang dijadikan sebagai acuan pada injeksi molding.


ABSTRACT

PT. ASTRA OTOPART that manufacturing component motorbike. Since there is requisition of society for logistic motorbike as vehicle of goods PT. ASTRA OTOPART tries for memproduksi luggage made from motorbike plastic. Until now that product was made and will be made in alone firm. To back up that thing needs to be designed by casting to process injection molding suitably. On this Final Report will at designs injection moldings process to motorbike luggage. Early stage that is done is draw that product is deep model 3 dimensions by use of Mechanical Desktops. By use of machine III. injection Mitsubhisi Met series capacity 300 ton was designed by casting and its main components cover amounts and lay out cavity channel system forces clamping refrigeration hannel and another supporting hereafter draws that casting at export into shaped IGS STL by use of Moldflow Plastic Insight 5.0 for simulating and evaluates casting process. Of scheme result can get amount cavity is 1 channel system dimension and makings price estimation to process manufacture 1 motorbike luggage casting bottom cover as big as Rp. 87. 909. 687 and as parameter of process that is made as basis on hypodermic molding.
