ABSTRAK

Dewasa ini perpipaan merupakan sarana transportasi fluida yang paling diminati dalam dunia industri minyak dan gas. Akan tetapi permasalahan yang dialami dalam proses instalasi maupun perawatan pipa juga sangat beragam diantaranya adalah stress corrosion cracking SCC yang bisa menyebabkan kegagalan pada sistem perpipaan dalam waktu yang sangat singkat. Berbagai penelitian dilakukan untuk memprediksi pengaruh SCC terhadap umur pipa bawah laut baik dengan uji fisik maupun dengan uji numerik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode numerik yakni memprediksi umur operasi pipa dengan metode pendekatan matematis yang berdasar pada parameter-parameter yang berkaitan dengan proses korosi dan retak. Laju korosi dan laju perambatan retak dimodelkan secara non-linear dengan berdasar pada kondisi lingkungan dan sifat material terhadap korosi dan perlakuan panas. Model laju korosi berkaitan erat dengan nilai pH dan suhu sedangkan model laju retak dipengaruhi oleh stress intensity fracture toughness dan beberapa parameter lingkungan. Fast crack terjadi pada 45 dari tebal pipa yang mengakibatkan umur pipa berkurang hingga 96 ketika perambatan retak telah mencapai kondisi fast crack.


ABSTRACT

Today pipelines are the most popular means in fluid transporting on oil and gas industry. However problems experienced on its installation and maintenance is also very diverse such as stress corrosion cracking SCC which causes failure on the piping system in a very short time. Various researches have been conducted to predict the effect of SCC on the age of subsea pipelines both with physical or numerical test. This research using a numerical method namely predicts life time of pipe with a mathematical approach based on the parameters associated with the process of corrosion and cracking. Corrosion rate and crack growth rate are modeled in non-linear based on the environmental conditions and material properties to corrosion and heat treatment. Corrosion rate model is closely related to the pH value and temperature value while the crack rate model influenced by the stress intensity fracture toughness and some environmental parameters. Fast crack occurred at 45 from pipe thickness that resulted in the age of the pipe was reduced until 96 when the crack propagation has reached a condition of fast crack.
