ABSTRAK

Pada proses pengerjaan benda kerja pada EDM sinking perautan tidak hanya terjadi pada benda kerja tetapi juga terjadi pada elektroda tool atau biasa disebut dengan keausan elektroda. Dengan terjadinya keausan pada elektroda mengakibatkan ketelitian dimensi yang dihasilkan berkurang dan juga dapat mempertinggi kekasaran permukaan yang dihasilkan. Kedua hal tersebut tidak diinginkan terjadi pada proses pengerjaan benda kerja sehingga perlu diminimalisasi. Karena itu diperlukan setting parameter proses yang tepat. Dalam penelitian ini proses EDM sinking dengan variasi arus listrik IP dilakukan terhadap plat SKD11 dengan menggunakan elektroda tembaga bronze kuningan stainless steel baja aluminium. Hasil percobaan kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan metode analisa regresi dari software minitab. Untuk mendapatkan nilai respon MRR kekasaran permukaan benda kerja dan laju keausan elektroda yang optimal. Pada penelitian ini benda kerja SKD 11 dilakukan proses perautan dengan menggunakan elektroda tembaga iv bronze kuningan stainless steel baja aluminium pada mesin EDM Sinking EXERON 104E. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh hasil hubungan antara arus IP terhadap MRR wear elektroda dan kekasaran permukaan.


ABSTRACT

In the process of working the workpiece in EDM sinking process not only occur in the workpiece but also occur on the electrode tool or commonly called the wear of electrodes. With the wear and tear on the electrodes resulting in the resulting reduced dimensional accuracy and also can enhance the surface roughness produced. Both of these undesirable things happen in the process of working so it needs to be minimized. What is needed is the appropriate process parameter settings. In this study sinking EDM process with variations in electrical current IP performed on an electrode plate SKD11 using copper bronze brass stainless steel steel aluminum. The experimental results are then processed using the method of regression analysis of Minitab software. To obtain the response value MRR surface roughness of the workpiece and electrode wear rate is optimal. In this study the workpiece SKD 11 performed process by using electrodes of copper bronze brass vi stainless steel steel aluminum on Sinking EDM machine EXERON 104E. In this study the results obtained by the relationship between current IP to the MRR electrode wear and surface roughness.
