ABSTRAK

TPA Benowo menggunakan pengolahan lindi secara biologis dengan Anaerobic Baffle Reactor ABR. Saat ini efisiensi di unit ABR menurun dan diperkirakan karena kandungan NH4-N dan salinitas pada lindi yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kedua parameter tersebut pada pengolahan lindi. Reaktor batch dengan sistem anaerobik digunakan dalam penelitian. Seeding lumpur diambil dari IPLT Keputih Surabaya. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu NH4-N dan salinitas. NH4-N memiliki 3 variasi konsentrasi yaitu 45-70 mgL 400-600 mgL dan 1400-1700 mgL. Salinitas juga memiliki 3 variasi konsentrasi yaitu 15 ppt 4 ppt dan 7 ppt. Parameter yang diuji antara lain COD NH4-N salinitas dan pH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi removal COD pada konsentrasi NH4-N 45-70 mgl tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan dengan adanya variasi konsentrasi salinitas. Pada konsentrasi NH4-N 400-700 mgL dan NH4-N 1400-1700 mgL penurunan konsentrasi COD menunjukkan kecenderungan yang hampir sama. Peningkatan konsentrasi salinitas akan menurunkan removal effisiensi pada kondisi NH4-N yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil analisa uji ANOVA dan Tukey menunjukkan bahwa NH4-N memiliki pengaruh yang paling dominan pada proses pengolahan.


ABSTRACT

Benowo landfill uses Anaerobic Baffle Reactor ABR as its biological treatment. The ABR efficiency is decreasing currently and it was estimated because of high concentration of NH4-N and salinity in leachate. This study aims to analyze the effect of those parameters in the leachate treatment. This study used batch reactor with anaerobic sistem. Seeding sludge was taken from IPLT Keputih Surabaya. The variables of the study were NH4-N concentration and salinity. NH4-N concentrations were 45-70 mgL 400-600 mgL dan 1400-1700 mgL. Salinitys concentration were 1.5 ppt 4 ppt and 7 ppt. COD NH4-N salinity and pH were used as parameters in this study. The result showed that COD removal efficiency in the concentration of NH4-N 45-70 mgL had no significant difference in the variation of salinity concentration. Decreasing COD concentration in NH4-N 400-700 mgL and NH4-N 1400-1700 mgL showed similar results. When the salinity concentrations increased efficiency removal would decrease in high NH4-N s concentration. Based on ANOVA and Tukey analysis NH4-N was the most dominant influence in the leachate treatment
