ABSTRAK

Cantilever merupakan balok yang didukung di satu ujung dan membawa beban di ujung lain atau didistribusikan sepanjang bagian yang tidak didukung. Sedangkan tapered cantilever merupakan jenis cantilever yang bentuknya semakin mengecil keujungnya. Pada penelitian ini dihitung besarnya frekuensi natural dari tapered cantilever dengan menggunakan pendekatan MEH Metode Elemen Hingga. Metode elemen hingga adalah metode numerik yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan teknik dan problem matematis dari suatu gejala fisis. Dengan menggunakan parameter pertama diperoleh error terkecil pada sistem pendekatan 4 elemen untuk mode pertama yaitu sebesar 006 sedangkan dengan menggunakan parameter kedua diperoleh nilai error terkecil pada sistem pendekatan 5 elemen untuk mode pertama yaitu sebesar 0091. Dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga ini frekuensi natural yang diperoleh lebih teliti karena semakin banyak proses diskritisasi yang dilakukan maka sistem tersebut akan mencacah frekuensi natural semakin banyak pula.


ABSTRACT

Cantilever is a beam supported at one end and carry the load at the other end or distributed along the unsupported. While the tapered cantilever is shaped cantilever type has narrowed to the tip. In this study calculated the amount of natural frequencies of tapered cantilever by using a FEM Finite Element Method. Finite element method is a numerical method used to solve problems of engineering and mathematical problems of a physical symptom. The first parameter obtained by using the smallest error on the 4 elements of the approach system for the first mode that is equal to 006 while the second parameter values obtained using the smallest error in the system approach to fashion the first five elements that is equal to 0091. By using the finite element method is the natural frequencies obtained by more rigorous because the more the process of discretization is done then the system will count the more natural frequencies
