ABSTRAK

Simulasi pembangkitan tsunami ini mengkaji tentang kemungkinan terjadinya bencana tsunami yang ada di selatan pulai Jawa khususnya daerah Pantai Damas Kabupaten Trenggalek berdasarkan skenario gempa tektonik yang merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya tsunami. Selatan Pulau Jawa merupakan daerah yang rentan terhadap gempa berkekuatan lebih dari 7 Mw dimana skala gempa sebesar tersebut dapat membangkitkan tsunami yang dahsyat. Sebagai contoh adalah tsunami yang terjadi pada tahun 1994 di Banyuwangi yang diakibatkan oleh gempa tektonik. Simulasi pembangkitan dan permodelan gelombang tsunami berdasarkan skenario gempa tektonik ini dilakukan dalam upaya mitigasi.Simulasi ini menggunakan skala gempa yang dihimpun dari data-data gempa BMKG selama 1994-2004 di selatan pulau Jawa yang kemudian dicari probabilitasnya dengan simulasi Monte Carlo untuk didapat skala magnituda gempa yang paling besar yakni sebesar 7833 Mw. Parameter sesar dan verifikasi model menggunakan data gempa bumi tsunami Banyuwangi 1994. Pembangkitan dan permodelan run-up tsinami dapat dihitung menggunakan perangkat lunak Mike 21 Flow Model.Tinggi tsunami maksimum ketika sampai di pantai Damas adalah berkisar antara 6 sampai 7 meter.


ABSTRACT

This tsunami simulation and propagation studies about the possibility of a tsunami disaster in the southern island of Java in particular areas Trenggalek Damas Beach based on tectonic earthquake scenario in which of the cause of tsunami. South of Java island is an area that is prone to earthquakes measuring more than 7 Mw where the scale of the earthquake can generate tsunamis. An example is the tsunami that occurred in 1994 in Banyuwangi caused by tectonic earthquake. The generation of Simulation and Tsunami Propagation based on Tectonic Earthquake Scenarios is done in an effort for mitigation. This simulation uses a scale earthquake collected from BMKG seismic data during 1994-2004 in the southern island of Java which then sought probability with Monte Carlo simulation to obtain the biggest earthquake magnitude scale which is equal to 7.833 Mw. Fault parameters and model verification use the data of Banyuwangi 1994 earthquake tsunami evocation and run-up modeling tsunami can be calculated using Mike 21 Flow Model software.The maximum highness when the tsunami hit the Damas coast is in the range of 6 to 7 meters.
