ANALISIS PEMANFAATAN AIR KONDENSAT PADA SISTEM PENYALURAN MINYAK DAN STEAM SEBAGAI AIR UMPAN HIGH PRESSURE BOILER DI PT. SMART TBK

ABSTRAK

PT. SMART Tbk adalah salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi minyak goreng dimana untuk menghasilkan minyak goreng tersebut digunakan CPO Crude Palm Oil sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan minyak goreng. Agar CPO tidak membeku digunakan pemanas yang disebut dengan heater. Terdapat beberapa heater di PT.SMART cabang rungkut salah satunya adalah heater 2. Heater 2 terletak pada refinery plant memiliki fumgsi untuk menaikkan temperatur CPO yang semula 720 C menjadi 980 C. Dalam usaha untuk menaikkan temperatur CPO digunakan steam yang berasal dari boiler batu bara. Selama proses tersebut heater 2 menghasilkan air kondensat yang didapat melalui proses kondensasi. Pada penelitian ini air kondensat tersebut digunakan sebagai air umpan high pressure boiler yang terdapat pada refinery plant. Sebelumnya high pressure boiler tersebut menggunakan air akuades yang dibeli secara periodik. Air kondensat dan air akudes diuji kelayakannya melalui uji labolatorium kemudian dihitung volume air kondensat yang dihasilkan dan dilakukan perhitungan mengenai penghematan bahan bakar. Untuk menghitung kelayakan secara ekonomi dalam menggunakan air kondensat sebagai pengganti air akuades maka dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan analisa manfaat-baiya dimana dalam perhitungan ini diperoleh apakah penggunaan air kondensat layak secara ekonomi. Hasil perhitungan volume air kondensat yang dihasilkan oleh heater 2 diketahui sebesar 5314 literjam. Hasil perhitungan reduction in energy cost LNG setiap hari 24 jam diketahui sebesar 35 m3 atau sebesar Rp 126.000 per-hari sedangkan hasil perhitungan analisa manfaat-biaya mengenai penggunaan air kondensat sebagai air umpan HPB diketahui 967 sehingga sudah layak secara ekonomi karena nilai benefit 8805 cost.


ABSTRACT

PT. SMART Tbk is a company which produce palm oil for resulting palm oil they used CPO Crude Palm Oil for basic ingredients. To increase the temperature of CPO they used heater. There are some heater in PT. SMART the one is heater 2. Heater 2 in PT. SMART Tbk which placed in refinery plant have a function to increase CPO temperature of CPO from 720 C to 980 C. To increase the temperature they used steam from boiler which used coal for it is fuel. Along this process heater 2 result condensate water from condensation process. On this research condensate water is used to make up water in high pressure boiler which placed in refinery plant. Previously the high pressure boiler uses mineral water periodically.Condensate water and aquadest should be tested in laboratorium test then the resultedof condensate water is calculated and the saving fuel is also calculated. The economic validity of using condensate water instead of using aqudest is calculated using benefit cost analysis. From this calculation it can be accumulated or known that the use of condensate water is valid or can be accepted in economic side.The result of calculation using condensate water by heater 2 is known as 5314 litershour. Then the result of calculation of reduction in energy cost LNG for 24 hour is about 35 m3 or Rp 126.00 daily while the resulted of using condensate water by using benefit cost analysis is about 967 so it is properly used from economic side in economic side because benefit 8805 cost.
