ABSTRAK

PLTU Perak Surabaya menggunakan fluida kerja uap air yang bersirkulasi secara tertutup. Uap bekas turbin dikondensasi dengan memanfaatkan air laut. Air kondensat yang dihasilkan digunakan kembali sebagai pengisi boiler. Saat ini di PLTU Perak Surabaya sejumlah kondensat hasil sample rack yang dilepaskan ke lingkungan belum disirkulasikan karena tidak ada saluran yang terhubung ke Raw Water Tank-pit RWT-pit. Potensi air kondensat dari sampling rack ini mencapai 226.8 liter perhari. Jika dimanfaatkan PLTU Perak Surabaya memungkinkan mendapat substitusi pembelian air sebanyak 6.804 liter per bulan. Sebagai konsekuensi PLTU Perak Surabaya perlu membangun saluran berupa bentangan pipa dari sampling rack menuju RWT-pit. Investasi ini memungkinkan dengan kompensasi penghematan pembelian raw water air umpan yang dibeli dari PDAM setempat. Penelitian pada Tugas Akhir TA ini mencoba menghitung bentangan pipa yang dirancang untuk kebutuhan tersebut berdasarkan potensi yang ada dan kondisi teknis yang memungkinkan. Pendekatan teknis diperhitungkan berdasarkan diameter pipa dengan losses head yang paling rasional sedangkan biaya ekonomi masih memperhitungan materialkomponen saja yang diperlukan dalam rancangan tersebut. Penghematan biaya penyediaan raw water merupakan upaya peningkatan efisiensi relatif terhadap lingkungan maupun pembelian air dari PDAM. Hasil rancangan berdasarkan beberapa asumsi memperlihatkan bahwa bentang yang paling efektif diperoleh dengan spesifikasi sebagai berikut jarak bentang pipa 228.4m diameter yang digunakan 28243 dan 38243 losses yang terjadi 1.38 m sehingga head total memungkinkan mencapai 0.82 m. Dengan pipa jenis carbon steel tersebut kecepatan alir dapat mencapai 2.324 ms dan nilai bilangan Reynolds sebesar 5.234 jadi aliran dalam kondisi turbulen aman untuk target usia bentang pipa sampai dengan 15 tahun dalam kondisi operasi normal.


ABSTRACT

PLTU Perak Surabaya using steam which is working in closed loop circulation. The steam used is condensed using sea water that will be used as feed water into boiler all over again. Currently the condensate that flow through the sampling rack are drained into the environment it has not circulated back because no channel is connected to the RWT-pit Raw Water Tank. Actually the condensate have potential water up to 226.8 litersday. This water could be able to substitute a part of water purchase. As a consequence PLTU Perak Surabaya needs to build a channel that it will be connect the sampling rack to the RWT-pit. This investment allows the purchase of raw water saving. This final project has been calculated the pipeline or channel that is designed depend on the potential water as well as the field conditions. Technically the calculations design of pipeline based on the diameter and the head loss rationally. Material price of the pipe construction is calculated related to the economical approach. Obviously the substitution raw water PDAM could increase the efficient of PLTU relatively regarding the environtmental conservation as well as water purchasing. Based on the assumptions the result shows the pipeline design have technical specification the total length of pipe is 228.4 meters for pipe diameter 28243 and 38243. The major losses that occured is 5.023meters and the minor losses is 1.76meters therefore the total head losses equal to 7.102meters. The carbon steel pipe uses to flow the condensate water by velocity is 2.324 ms and the Reynolds number is 5x105 so the flow is turbulen. Refer to the long life of the pipelines the investment will back during ROI 4 years meanwhile this pipe line possible be operated up to 15 years in a normal conditions.
