ABSTRAK

Gula suatu karbohidrat sederhana yang menjadi sumber energi dan komoditi perdagangan utama paling banyak diperdagangkan dalam bentuk kristal sukrosa padat. Gula sebagai sukrosa diperoleh dari nira tebu bit gula atau aren. Tebu merupakan bahan baku utama yang digunakan dalam pembuatan produk gula. Bila tebu dipotong akan terlihat serat-serat dan terdapat cairan yang manis. Serat dan kulit batang biasa disebut dengan sabut dan cairannya disebut dengan nira. Proses pemerahan nira dilakukan di stasiun gilingan dengan memerah tebu sampai kering dengan bantuan cairan embisi. Setelah diperah kemudian air nira dipanaskan dalam evaporator sehingga air nira mengental kemudian dialirkan menuju dapur proses. Suplai nira kental dari evaporator ke dapur proses kurang begitu maksimal karena pipa untuk mngalirkan nira kental kurang besar sehingga perlu diubah dimensinya agar lebih maksimal produktifitasnya. Desain pemanas pada evaporator dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap. Pertama mengumpulkan data-data mengenai evaporator kedua menghitung dimensi yang akan diubah setelah itu dibandingkan dengan hitungan yang berada di pabrik. Langkah pertama dalam mendesian yaitu Untuk mengetahui kebutuhan uap nira dari evaporator menuju dapur proses kemudian Untuk menghitung produksi uap nira sesudah dirancang berdasarkan diameter saluran yang telah diubah dari evaporator menuju dapur proses kemudian Menghitung efisiensi uap nira dari evaporator menuju dapur proses . Setelah dilakukan perhitungan yang real dan dilakukan perbandingan. maka dapat diterapkan di alat yang sebenarnya. Dari hasil perhitungan yang lakukan efisiensi uap mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 423 maka dapat dijadikan acuan oleh pihak pabrik untuk mendesain ulang evaporator yang ada di pabrik. Dan juga dapat di aplikasikan dipabrik karena lebih efisien .


ABSTRACT

Sugar a simple carbohydrate that is the source of energy and a major trade commodities the most widely traded in the form of crystalline solid sucrose. As sucrose obtained from sugar cane beet sugar or sugar palm. Sugarcane is the main raw material used in the manufacture of sugar products. When the cane is cut will look the fibers and there is a sweet liquid. And bark fibers commonly referred to as fiber and liquid is called . squeeze process done at the station with a squeezed cane mill until dry with the aid of liquid embisi. After squeeze and then water is heated in an evaporator so that the water crudle then flowed into the kitchen process. supply condensed from the evaporator to the kitchen because the process is less so the maximum drain pipe for less viscous big that needs to change its dimensions in order to maximize productivity. Heater on the evaporator design is done in several stages. First collected data on the evaporator the second calculates the dimensions to be changed after it is compared with the count in the factory. The first step in mendesian ie To find out the needs of sap steam from the evaporator into the kitchen and then to calculate the production of process steam after the sap is designed based on the diameter of the channel has been changed from the evaporator into the kitchen and then process the terakir Counting efficiency sap steam from the evaporator to the kitchen process. After calculating the real and the comparison is done. it can be applied in real tools. From the results of calculations do steam efficiency increased by 4.23 then it can be used as a reference by the manufacturer to redesign the evaporator at the factory. And also can be applied more efficiently
