ALTERNATIVE DESIGN FOR HANDLING PRESSURE DROP ON PIPE LINE TREATED WASTE WATER SYSTEM AT PAITON POWER PLANT UNITS 7 AND 8

ABSTRAK

Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap PLTU Paiton Unit 7 8 batu bara digunakan sebagai bahan bakar utama boiler. Sebelum batu bara dimasukkan ke boiler batu bara terlebih dahulu mengalami proses crusher penghancuran. Dalam proses itu batu bara dibagi menjadi dua jenis yaitu batu bara yang halus dan kasar. Batu bara yang halus akan digunakan sebagai bahan bakar utama boiler sedangkan yang kasar dibuang. Dalam proses pembuangan tersebut digunakan bantuan fluida air bertekanan sebagai tenaga dorongnya. Kelemahan proses tersebut adalah sering buntu dalam proses pemakaian. Oleh karena itu perlu penambahan pressure dalam sistem tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dan perhitungan. Persamaan yang digunakan adalah persamaan Darcy-Weisbach untuk menentukan head loss yang terjadi sehingga didapatkan besarnya pressure drop yang dialami. Selain dengan perhitungan teori dilakukan juga perhitungan menggunakan Software Pipe Flow Expert sebagai perbandingannya. Hasil perhitungan teori menunjukkan bahwa penurunan tekanan yang tertinggi adalah pada jalur A I. Selanjutnya pada jalur A J Jalur A G jalur A F dan jalur A C. Nilai pressure drop berturut turut adalah 1445 bar 144 bar 11 bar 101 bar dan 0399 bar. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan software menunjukkan bahwa Penurunan tekanan yang tertinggi adalah pada jalur A I. Selanjutnya pada jalur A J Jalur A G jalur A F dan jalur A C. Nilai pressure drop berturut turut adalah 14 bar 144 bar 1 bar 102 bar dan 04 bar. Untuk mengatasi penurunan tekanan pada sistem perpipaan Effluent Treated waste Water System maka perlu penambahan Booster Pump dengan pressure 14bar dan kapasitas 00039m3s.


ABSTRACT

On Steam Power Power Plant Paiton Unit 7 8 use coal as the primary fuel boiler. Before the coal put into the boiler coal must crushed first. In that process coal is divided into two types of coal are smooth and rough. The smooth coal will be used as a primary fuel boiler while the rough discarded. In the process of dispose was used aid as a fluid pressurized water power push. Weaknesses of the process is often a deadend in the process of usage. Therefore need to increase pressure The method used in this research is case studies and calculation. The equation used is the Darcy-Weisbach equation to determine the head loss that occurs so we get the amount of pressure drop is experienced. In addition to theoretical calculations calculations using the Pipe Flow Expert Software as a comparison. The results of theoretical calculation showed that the highest pressure drop is on the line A I. Next in line A A line A G line A F and line A C. Pressure drop value respectively is 1.445 bar 1.44 bar 1.1 bar and 0.399 bar. in the system. While the results of the software calculations show that the highest pressure drop is on the line A - I. Next in line A - A Line A - G line A - F and line A - C. Pressure drop value respectively is 1.4 bar 1.44 bar 1 bar 1.02 bars and 0.4 bars. To overcome the pressure drop in piping systems Treated Effluent Waste Water System is to increase the pressure Booster Pump 1.4 bar and a capacity of 0.0039 m3 s.
