EFFECT OF Ni DOPING ON SYNTHESIS OF IRON SANDS BASED BiFeO3 MULTIFERROIC MATERIAL BY COPRECIPITATION METHOD

ABSTRAK

Sintesis multiferroik BiFeO3 dengan doping Ni telah dilakukan dengan metode kopresipitasi menggunakan bahan baku pasir besi Blitar dan Bi2O3. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan variasi konsentrasi doping Ni 25 dan 50 suhu kalsinasi dan holding time. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan XRD X-ray Difraction dan magnetic susceptibility balance. Fase sekunder seperti Bi2Fe4O9 Bi25FeO40 dan Bi46Fe2O72 sering muncul sabagai impuritas. Dengan Range fraksi volum fase primer yang diperoleh 159 - 70.3 dimana fraksi tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan sampel tanpa doping Ni suhu 500oC dan holding time 1 jam. Ukuran Kristal yang diperoleh berkisar 29 54 nm untuk semua sampel yang disintesis.


ABSTRACT

The synthesis of multiferroic BiFeO3 doped with Ni has been done by the coprecipitation method using the raw materials of iron sands of Blitar and Bi2O3. In this study the Ni content 25 and 50 calcination temperature and time variations were varied. The samples prepared were then characterized by XRD X-ray Difraction and magnetic susceptibility balance. The results show that the secondary phases such as Bi2Fe4O9 Bi25FeO40 and Bi46Fe2O72 appear as impurities while the primary phase was obtained with the volume fraction of 15.9 - 70.3 where the highest purity was obtained by the samples without Ni sintered at 500oC temperature for 1 hour. The crystal size for all samples synthesized was in the range of 29-54 nm.
