ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan sintesis sampel Bi2-xPbxSr2CaCu2O8948 x0 0.4 menggunakan metode pencampuran larutan dengan menggunakan waktu sintering yang relatif singkat. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa sampel Bi 2212 dan BiPb 2212 merupakan fasa dominan yang terbentuk dari hasil sintesis. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa superkonduktor berbasis Bi dapat disintesis menggunakan metode pencampuran larutan. Pengukuran menggunakan SQUID magnetometer menunjukkan bahwa sampel dengan doping Pb dapat meningkatkan pinning centre pada bahan. Dari hasil pengukuran diperoleh temperatur kritis berkisar pada temperatur 76-78 K. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan Four Point Probe sample dengan doping Pb memiliki nilai resistivitas yang relatif lebih kecil dibandingkan sampel tanpa doping Pb. Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan TEM sampel Bi 2212 menunjukkan ukuran dalam skala nanometer. Setelah dilakukan pengujian menggunakan VSM didapatkan sampel menunjukkan sifat ferromagnetik lemah yang ditunjukkan dalam kurva histerisis pada temperatur kamar. Sifat ferromagnetik lemah diakibatkan adanya kekosongan oksigen pada permukaan sampel yang memiliki ukuran nanometer yang diikuti meningkatnya momen magnetik.


ABSTRACT

The Pb-free and partially Pb-substituted Bi2-xPbxSr2CaCu2O8948 x0 0.4 powders have been synthesized by using dissolved method followed by short period sintering. The XRD spectra showed that the 2212 phase of Bi-based system was the dominant phase. It means that Pb-free and partially Pb-doped superconductors can successfully be formed by this route of synthesis. The SQUID magnetometer measurements show that Pb doped Bi 2212 increase pinning centre properties. Transition temperature showed around 76-78 K. Based on Four Point Probe measurements Pb doped Bi 2212 showed lower resistivity which indicates that Pb doped Bi 2212 more metallic at the room temperature. From the TEM observations it was shown that the particle size of Pb-free powder is in the nano-scaled range. The vibrating sample magnetometer VSM measurements showed that samples exhibited soft ferromagnetic with a thin magnetic hysteretic curve at the room temperature. This soft magnetism may possibly be due to the oxygen deficiency on the surface of nano-scaled samples.
