SINTESIS DAN KINERJA KATALIS ZNO BERPENDUKUNG MGF2 PADA REAKSI ASILASI FENOL

SYHTHESIS AND PERFORMANCE OF MgF2 SUPPORTED ZnO CATALYSTS FOR PHENOL ACYLATION REACTION

ABSTRAK

Katalis MgF2 ZnO dan ZnOMgF2 dengan variasi jumlah Zn yang diimpregnasikan 25 5 75 10 dan 15 ww telah disintesis dan dikarakterisasi struktur kristalnya menggunakan difraktometer sinar-X XRD. Hasil penentuan keasaman katalis yang dilakukan dengan metode adsorpsi piridin-FTIR menunjukkan bahwa katalis dengan jumlah Zn yang diimpregnasikan 75 memiliki keasaman tertinggi. Luas permukaan spesifik SBET diukur dengan metode adsorpsi gas N2. SBET katalis semakin menurun dengan meningkatnya jumlah Zn yang diimpregnasikan pada MgF2. SBET katalis yang diperoleh yaitu antara 531 dan 944 m2g. Katalis hasil sintesis akan diuji aktivitasnya melalui reaksi asilasi fenol dan dianalisis dengan High Performance Liquid Chromatography HPLC. Produk reaksi asilasi fenol menunjukkan adanya p- HAP dan FA sebagai produk utama. Konversi katalis hasil sintesis secara berurutan MgF2 ZnO 25 ZnOMgF2 5 ZnOMgF2 15 ZnOMgF2 10 ZnOMgF2 75 ZnOMgF2. Hasil reaksi dan selektivitas p-HAP dan FA semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya jumlah Zn yang diimpregnasikan pada MgF2.


ABSTRACT

MgF2 ZnO and ZnOMgF2 catalysts with Zn loading variation of 2.5 5 7.5 10 and 15 ww were synthesized and their crystal structure were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction XRD. The acidity of the catalysts determined by pyridine FTIR method showed that ZnOMgF2 catalyst with Zn loading 75 had the higest acidity. The specific surface area SBET was measured by N2 adsorption. The surface area of the ZnOMgF2 catalysts decrease with the increase in Zn content. The measurement SBET of the catalysts was in range of 531 to 944 m2g. The synthesized catalysts performance were tested in phenol acylation and were determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography HPLC. The acylation products showed that the p-HAP and FA were the main product. The conversion of the catalysts followed the order MgF2 ZnO 25 ZnOMgF2 5 ZnOMgF2 15 ZnOMgF2 10 ZnOMgF2 75 ZnOMgF2. The yield and selectivity of p-HAP and FA increase with the increase of Zn content in ZnOMgF2.
