PENGARUH SUHU DAN WAKTU HIDROTERMAL PADA SINTESIS ZSM-5 DARI KAOLIN BANGKA BELITUNG DAN ABU SEKAM PADI

ABSTRAK

ZSM-5 telah disintesis dari kaolin dan abu sekam padi dengan metode hidrotermal tanpa melalui tahap pembentukan metakaolin. Sintesis dilakukan dengan perbandingan mol reaktan 10Na2O 100SiO2 2Al2O3 1800H2O 20TPABr. Pengaruh suhu dan waktu hidrotermal terhadap produk yang dihasilkan dipelajari pada suhu hidrotermal 165 175 185 C dan waktu hidrotermal 3 6 9 12 24 48 jam. Produk dikarakterisasi dengan Difraksi Sinar-X XRD spektroskopi fourier transform infrared FTIR dan Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive Xray SEM-EDX. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa produk dengan kristalinitas ZSM-5 tertinggi didapatkan dari sintesis pada suhu hidrotermal 175 C dan waktu hidrotermal 24 jam. Fasa analsim muncul pada produk yang disintesis lebih dari 24 jam waktu hidrotermal. Hasil karakterisasi SEM menunjukkan partikel kristal berbentuk bola dengan ukuran rata-rata 1-2 956m.


ABSTRACT

ZSM-5 was synthesized from kaolin and rice husk ash by hydrothermal method without going through the process of metakaolin formation. The synthesis was conducted with mol ratio reactan 10Na2O 100SiO2 2Al2O3 1800H2O 20TPABr. The Influence of hydrothermal temperature and time towards the resulted products was studied on hydrothermal temperature 165 175 185 and hydrothermal time 3 6 9 12 24 48 hours. The resulted product was characterized using X-ray Diffraction XRD spektroskopi fourier transform infrared FTIR dan Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray SEM-EDX. The result showed that product with highest crystallinty was resulted from synthesis with hydrothermal temperature at 175 C and hydrothermal time at 24 hour. Analcime phase appeared on product resulted from synthesis more than 24 hours of hydrothermal time. The result of SEM characterization showed crystal particle in sphere shape with crystal size of about 1- 2956m.
