AMOBILISASI KATION LOGAM BERAT Cr3 PADA GEOPOLIMER BERBAHAN BAKU ABU LAYANG PT. IPMOMI

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan amobilisasi kation Cr3 pada geopolimer berbahan baku abu layang PT. IPMOMI.
Geopolimer yang digunakan untuk mengamobilisasi ion Cr3 merupakan geopolimer dengan kuat tekan terbaik dari geopolimer variasi NaOH yang dilakukan sebelumnya. Kuat tekan
Geopolimer diperoleh sampel Na-14 dengan rasio mol Na2OSiO2 065 dan Na2OAl2O3 418 sebesar 3317 MPa 7
hari dan 4888 MPa 28 hari. Kation Cr3 dengan berbagai konsentrasi ditambahkan pada komposisi geopolimer Na-14 sehingga didapatkan Geopolimer-Cr3 dengan kuat tekan tertinggi yaitu sampel Cr-6860 dengan kadar ion Cr3 6860 mgKg abu
layang sebesar 4738 MPa 7 hari.Geopolimer-Cr3 yang
dihasilkan memiliki kemampuan amobilisasi yang baik hal ini
dibuktikan dengan tidak adanya ion Cr3 yang terdeteksi pada ICP-OES setelah dilakukan leaching selama 65 jam. Hasil
analisa SEM-EDX menunjukkan logam Cr terdistribusi merata baik di dalam maupun di permukaan geopolimer dan pori-pori geopolimer yang terbentuk lebih kecil.
ABSTRACT
In this research immobilization of cation Cr3 in geopolymer base on fly ash PT. IPMOMI have been done. Geopolymer which was produced with variation of NaOH and had the best compressive strength was used to immobilizing ion Cr3. The best compressive strength of Geopolymer was Na-14 sample which had molar ratio
Na2OSiO2 065 dan Na2OAl2O3 418 and the compressive strength was 3317 MPa 7 day and 4888 MPa 28 day.
Variation of Cr3 concentration have been given to Na-14 Geopolymer in order to get geopolymer-Cr3 that had the most
compressive strength in 4738 MPa 7 day.Geopolymer-Cr3 had good immobilization ability which nothing ion Cr3detected when conducted with ICP-OES analition after leaching 65 hour of geopolymer-Cr3 had been done. The result of SEM-EDX characterization showed that Cr metal had goog distribution not only in the surface but also in the geopolymer body furthermore the porous of geopolymer smaller.
