RELIABILITY AVAILABILITY LIFE CYCLE COST ANALYSIS TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE OF CENTRAL STEAM STATION 6 DURI OIL FIELD

ABSTRAK

Kegiatan pengerukan minyak bumi pada ladang minyak Duri di Riau menggunakan steam uap sebagai media untuk mempermudah pengangkatan minyak dari perut bumi ke permukaan. Setiap 5 barrel steam berpotensi mempermudah pengangkatan 1 barrel minyak mentah. Dengan semakin melambungnya harga minyak dunia maka pencapaian target produksi menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan. Hal ini menjadikan fasilitas penghasil steam seperti Central Steam Station CSS 6 menjadi tulang punggung untuk pencapaian target produksi. Pentingnya peranan CSS 6 dalam proses produksi minyak di lapangan minyak Duri menjadikan keandalan reliability dan ketersediaan availability dari fasilitas ini menjadi prioritas. Dengan menggunakan metode Markov dan program Relex 2011 didapatkan indeks keandalan CSS 6 pada mission end time 730 jam adalah sebesar 88.6 dan indeks ketersediaannya adalah sebesar 98.5. Hasil ini sudah sangat baik dan melampaui target yang ditentukan oleh perusahaan yaitu 97. Hal ini menjadikan perubahan atau modifikasi secara teknikal terhadap proses dan peralatan yang ada di CSS 6 tidak lagi menjadi sebuah prioritas. Efisiensi biaya dan energy kemudian menjadi sesuatu yang perlu dipikirkan sebagai bentuk mitigasi pada saat kebutuhan akan steam berkurang seiring menurunnya jumlah kandungan minyak di reservoar. Pada penelitian ini penulis berusaha mengembangkan beberapa alternatif yang dapat mendukung efisiensi biaya dan energy tersebut. Sebanyak 12 alternatif untuk sub sistem dikembangkan dan dikombinasikan sehingga menjadi 4 alternatif kombinasi untuk sistem CSS 6. Dari semua alternatif-alternatif tersebut yang dianggap paling efisien adalah alternatif kombinasi C yang memiliki obyektif untuk menonaktifkan pompa E dan mengganti pompa H dengan unit yang baru menonaktifkan air compressor A dan mengganti air compressor F dengan unit baru serta menonaktifkan 10 unit steam generator yang memiliki failure rate tertinggi. Alternatif ini dapat mempertahankan indeks ketersediaan pada nilai 97 dengan mission end time 730 jam dan ada potensi penghematan biaya sekitar US 800000 selama 8 tahun periode tahun 2013 hingga 2021.


ABSTRACT

In its operation Duri Oilfield in Riau province uses steam as the media to ease the oil lifting from the oil reservoir to the surface. Inline with the increment on crude oils price the achievement to oil production target become a critical milestone for the company. This condition put the steam producer facility such as Central Steam Station CSS 6 becomes the backbone to achieve the production target. Since CSS 6 play an important role in the Duri oil field production process the reliability and availability of CSS 6 becomes the high priority. Using the Markov method and Relex 2011 application it is calculated that the reliability index of CSS 6 is 88.6 with 98.5 availability index in 730 hours mission end time. This is good and exceeding the companys requirement which requires 97. This result explains that CSS 6 do not need a technically modification or upgrade to increase its performance. Another consideration came as the new challenge. It is about mitigating the future demands of steam inline with less oil stock in the reservoir. A consideration about cost energy efficiency is assessed in this thesis. In this thesis some alternatives to support cost and energy efficiency were developed. Twelve 12 alternatives were developed for the subsystem then they were combined to be 4 set of alternative combination which will be applied to CSS 6 system. The selected alternative is alternative C which objectives are to shut down pump E replace pump H with the new pump shutdown air compressor A replace air compressor F with the new air compressor and shutdown 10 units of steam generator which has highest failure rate. The mission is to reduce the failure rate and operational cost all at once. The selected alternative maintained the availability index of CSS 6 at 97 on the 730 hours mission end time. In additional to that the alternative also create a potential opportunity for cost saving amount about US 800000 for 8 years period 2013 till 2021.
