THERMODYNAMICS ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS GAS TURBINES LOAD TO COMBINED CYCLES PERFORMANCE OF PLTGU BLOCK I PT PJB UP GRESIK

ABSTRAK

Kebutuhan listrik yang terus meningkat setiap tahun menuntut produsen listrik untuk menambah total produksinya. Akibatnya bahan bakar yang dibutuhkan juga akan meningkat. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan krisis energi di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu suatu pembangkit diharapkan dapat beroperasi secara optimal. Salah satu cara optimalisasi operasi suatu pembangkit adalah variasi beban. Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas-Uap PLTGU variasi beban dilakukan pada turbin gas yaitu beban 50 75 dan 100. Performa siklus gabungan untuk variasi beban pada turbin gas dapat dianalisis sehingga diketahui pada beban berapa suatu PLTGU beroperasi secara optimal. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis efisiensi berdasarkan variasi beban turbin gas pada PLTGU adalah analisis secara termodinamika dengan mengabaikan kerugian-kerugian seperi pressure drop dan kerugian panas. Analisis ini juga berlaku hukum kekekalan massa. Bahan bakar yang digunakan adalah gas alam yang memiliki specific grafity SG 0.60620. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa efisiensi tertinggi terdapat pada beban 50 yaitu 57.58. Pada beban 75 diperoleh efisiensi 56.19. Efisiensi yang terendah terdapat pada beban 100 yaitu 46.64.


ABSTRACT

The electrical demand which increases each year requires electrical producers to increase their total production. As a result the required fuel will also increase. This can lead Indonesia to an energy crisis. Therefore the power plant is required to operate optimally. One way of optimizing the power plants operation is a variation of the load. At Combined Cycle Power Plant PLTGU the variation of the load carried in the gas turbine which is 50 load 75 load and 100 load. The performance of combine cycle for various load in gas turbine can be analyzed to know which load that PLTGU can operate optimally. The method used for analyzing the efficiency based on various load in PLTGU is thermodynamic analysis by neglecting the pressure drop and heat loss. This analysis also uses the conservation of mass. Fuel used in PLTGU is natural gas with specific gravity SG 0.60620. As the result of calculation the highest efficiency is in 50 load. The 50 efficiency is 57.58. when the load is 75 the efficiency is 56.19. And the lowest efficiency is 46.64 which is gas turbine is in 100 load.
