RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENGUKURAN PADA ALAT KALIBRASI SENSOR GAS OKSIGEN O2

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan teknologi pembakaran bahan bakar semakin canggih. Hal ini ditandai dengan maraknya penggunaan Electronic Fuel Injection EFI menggantikan karburator. Electronic Fuel Injection EFI menggunakan sistem yang diatur secara komputer oleh perangkat elektronik yang disebut Electronic Control Unit ECU. ECU bekerja berdasarkan masukan dari sensor-sensor yang ada. ECU menerima sinyal dari sensor dan melakukan pengolahan data untuk mengirimkan sinyal untuk mengatur udara dan pasokan bahan bakar ke dalam ruang pembakaran secara efektif dan efisien. Salah satu sensor yang digunakan adalah sensor gas O2. Sensor gas O2 tentunya juga bisa mengalami ketidaktepatan pembacaan saat awal maupun setelah pemakaian dalam jangka waktu tertentu sehingga harus dikalibrasi. Metode kalibrasi dalam penelitian ini ialah dengan prinsip tekanan berubah dengan volume tetap. Pada metode tekanan berubah dengan volume tetap validasi dilakukan dengan cara memvakumkan tabung reaksi hingga tekanan vakum yang diinginkan kemudian tabung reaksi diisi dengan nitrogen hingga tekanan kembali ke 1 atm dan mencatat kadar oksigen yang tertinggal. Dari hasil pengujian kalibrasi didapatkan selisih terbesar terjadi pada tekanan 148 bar dengan selisih pembacaan kadar oksigen antara alat kalibrasi dengan sensor oksigen sebesar 345 . Sedangkan selisih terkecilnya terjadi pada tekanan 149 bar dengan selisih pembacaannya sebesar 043 .


ABSTRACT

The development of combustion technology is getting more sophisticated these days. One of the example is the use of Electronic Fuel Injectin EFI to replace the carburator. Electronic fuel injecton EFI using the computerized electronic devices comonly known as electronic control unit ECU. ECU works based on the input of several sensors that attached on it. ECU received signals from the sensors and starting to process the data that will be sent as feedback to control the air and fuel respectively to the combustion chamber effectively and efficiently. One of the sensor used on this procces is called O2 gas sensor. The O2 gas sensor need to be calibrated after several use of a certain period. The calibaration method that used in this experiment is the principal of isochoric. In this method the validation procces is performed by vacuming the test tube up until the desired value of pressure is required after that the tube is filled by nitrogen until the pressure back to 1 atm and record the oxygen levels that left. From the result of calibration testing the biggest difference happened on 148 bar with the difference of oxygen level between the calibration device and the oxygen sensor by 345 . Meanwhile the smallest difference happened on 149 bar with the difference of 043.
