ABSTRAK

Tube pada superheater dalam menghasilkan uap harus mendapat tekanan yang tinggi dan mendapatkan panas yang berlebih dari dampak pembakaran pada area surface secara kontinyu sehingga lambat laun tube tersebut mengalami kebocoran. Karena tidak dimungkinkan diganti dengan tube baru semua maka pada titik - titik tertentu tube existing akan dilas dengan tube baru. Desain pengelasan tube existing dengan tube baru menggunakan preheat sebesar 2446 C 1675 C 883 C dan dilakukan beberapa pengujian berdasarkan standar ASME untuk membuktikan kelayakan pengelasan tersebut. Untuk pengujian pertama menggunakan radiography test setelah lulus dilanjutkan dengan pengujian tensile test bending test metalography test dan yang terakhir adalah hardness test. Semua variabel preheat yang digunakan dalam pengelasan tube existing dengan tube baru lulus dalam pengujian berdasarkan standar ASME. Pengelasan tube existing dengan tube baru yang menggunakan preheat 2446 C lebih unggul kekuatan tariknya yaitu sebesar 54547 MPa ketangguhannya dan uji lengkungnya. Selanjuntnya pengelasan tube existing dengan tube baru yang menggunakan preheat 883 C memiliki keuletan paling tinggi.


ABSTRACT

The tubes at superheater in producing the steam must get the high pressure and over heating because of the burning process on surface area continuously. Therefore the tubes leakage. Because its impossible to change with the new ones for all parts. So there are only some part that could be welded with the new one. The design of welding between the existing tube with the new one will use the preheat 2446 C 1675 C 883 C. They also performed the examination with ASME standard for proving the welding. For the first examination they are examined by radiography test. After accepted they are examined by tensile test bending test metalography test and hardness test for the last examination. All variables of preheat in welding between the existing tube and the new one accepted by ASME standard. The welding between the existing tube and the new one which used preheat 2446 C gets the best tensile strength 54547 MPA toughness and bending test than the others. Meanwhile the welding between the existing tube and the new one using preheat 883 C has the best ductility.
