ABSTRAK

Teknologi yang kian berkembang pesat sangat memungkinkan terjadinya pembelajaran yang lebih atraktif. Diharapakan proses pembelajaran tidak lagi monoton dan membosankan. Secara langsung sistem pada moodle tidak menyediakan layanan tayangan video sehingga dirasa perlu untuk mengintegrasikannya dengan suatu sistem layanan lain. Internet Protocol Television IPTV merupakan tren perkembangan teknologi broadcasting melalui Internet Protocol IP yang mana mentransmisikan siaran televisi melalui IP. IPTV diyakini menjadi salah satu killer aplication karena layanan IPTV sebagai teknologi yang diramalkan akan populer dimasa mendatang dimana layanan IPTV menawarkan sebuah kesempatan interaksi yang lebih baik dengan user dan juga layanan yang ditawarkan lebih atraktif. Pada Tugas Akhir ini akan dilakukan perancangan dan pembuatan server IPTV berbasis metode load balancing berbasis Linux Virtual Server LVS dengan algoritma penjadwalan round robin. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian performansi server IPTV berbasis metode load balancing dan server LMS serta server IPTV load balancing dengan memutar 1 sampai 4 video secara bersamaan. Hasil dari pengujian akan dianalisis untuk membandingkan performansi server LMS dan server IPTV dalam satu sever load balancing dengan server IPTV load balancing. Seperti yang telah dilakukan pada tugas akhir sebelumnya yaitu tentang cluster LMS. Dengan sistem ini dapat diketahui hasil pengukuran untuk throughput packet loss serta response time. Pada pengukuran throughput dapat dilihat bahwa semakin besar bandwidth maka nilai throughput nya juga semakin besar seperti pada saat membuka 4 video sekaligus diperoleh nilai 9384145.86 bps pada dua IPTV server. Sedangkan pada pengukuran response time sangat berpengaruh dengan banyaknya server dengan bertambahnya jumlah server maka semakin cepat dalam mengakses suatu halaman IPTV seperti dilihat pada nilai saat mengakses 100 halaman membutuhkan waktu 24.271 detik dengan dua server dibanding satu server membutuhkan waktu 44.953 detik. Pada pengukuran packet loss didapatkan hasil 0.0000106-0.0000937 hal ini sudah memenuhi standart dimana paket loss besarnya dibawah 1 Menurut standar ITU-T Y.1541.


ABSTRACT

Technology is rapidly growing it possibly makes the occurrence of more attractive learning. Learning process is no longer expected monotonous and boring. Directly the moodle system does not provide the video service so it is necessary to integrate it with another service system. Internet Protocol Television IPTV is a technology development trend of broadcasting over the Internet Protocol IP which transmits television over IP. IPTV is believed to be one killer application due to IPTV services as popular technology that will forecast the future where IPTV service offers a better interaction opportunity with the user and also to offer more attractive services. In this Final Research will be designed and made the IPTV server based on load balancing method of Linux Virtual Server LVS with round robin scheduling algorithm. Then we do the IPTV server performance testing based load balancing method and the LMS server and the IPTV server load balancing by rotating 1 to 4 video simultaneously. The Results of the testing will be analyzed to compare the performance of the LMS server and the IPTV server in a single sever load balancing with IPTV server load balancing. As was done at the end of the previous assignment of cluster LMS. With this system may be known the measurement results for throughput packet loss and response time. In the throughput measurement can be seen that the greater bandwidth then the throughput value is also greater such as during the opening of 4 videos at once is obtained the value 9384145.86 bps in two IPTV server. While in the response time measurements are very influenced with the number of server with the increasing number of servers then the faster the IPTV access a page as seen in the current value of accessing the 100 pages with two servers took 24 271 seconds compared one server that takes 44953 seconds. In the packet loss measurement results is obtained the value of 0.0000106 -0.0000937 it already fulfills the standard where the value of packet loss is under 1 according to ITU-T Y.1541 standard.
