ABSTRAK

Komunikasi taktis merupakan komunikasi yang bersifat khusus untuk militer dan peperangan. Komunikasi taktis memiliki kebutuhan yang tinggi dalam aspek keamanan infomasi ketahanan terhadap gangguan komunikasi dan kemadirian dalam membangun komunikasi. Saat ini telah dikembangkan perangkat Combat Management System CMS oleh PT. LEN untuk Kapal Perang KRI Yos Sudarso. Pada perangkat tersebut masih diperlukan pengembangan data link. Salah satu aspek utama dalam datalink adalah mengenai Medium Access Protocol MAC. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengujian terhadap protokol MAC Dynamic Time Division Multiple Access DTDMA dan Collision Avoidance Time Allocation CATA pada komunikasi taktis kapal perang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangan protokol MAC contention-based CATA and schedulling-based DTDMA. Pengujian menggunakan beberapa skenario dalam peperangan seperti skenario pertahanan penggabungan node baru dan perlawanan. Dengan parameter pengujian antara lain delay packet loss and channel utilization. CATA memiliki kecenderungan bahwa semakin banyak jumlah node maka delay semakin meningkat dratis. Tetapi pada DTDMA peningkatakan jumlah node berakibat peningkatan delay juga namun tidak signifikan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan untuk pengiriman data yang bersifat realtime dianjurkan menggunakan protokol CATA dengan syarat jumlah node maksimum adalah 14 karena berdasarkan delay packet loss and channel utilization CATA memiliki performasi yang lebih baik. Namun untuk untuk komunikasi taktis direkomendasikan menggunakan DTDMA karena pada komunikasi taktis jumlah node yang bervariasi dan nilai delay packet loss dan channel utilizationnya relatif stabil terhadap perubahan jumlah node. .


ABSTRACT

Tactical communication is special communication for warfare and military purposes. Tactical communication has high requirement in the aspect of information security communication intrusion robustness and autonomous communication development. Nowadays Combat Management System CMS device has been developed by PT. LEN for KRI Yos Sudarso Warship. But the device still needs more development in data link implementation. One important aspect in data link is Medium Access Control MAC Protocol. In this work Dynamic TDMA DTDMA and Collision Avoidance Time Allocation CATA MAC protocol performance are evaluated in warship tactical communication. The primary motivation of this work is to evaluate contention-based CATA and schedulling-based DTDMA protocol with their advantages and disadvantages. Both MAC protocol are evaluated with defence new node consolidation and resistance scenarios. Evaluation uses delay packet loss and channel utilization as parameters. From the experiment results CATA has a tendency that when the number of nodes is increasing its delay is increasing drastically. This is affected by contention and packet processing overhead at CATA. Based on the analysis of simulation and evaluation for real-time transmission we prefer use CATA protocol with term the maximum number of node is 14. In the other side DTDMA is more recommended for tactical comunication because tactical communication has dynamic change in the number of nodes. DTDMA has a delay packet loss and channel utilization which is quite stable when used varying numbers of nodes.
