ABSTRAK

PT. Ajinomoto Mojokerto mempunyai total beban mencapai 20 MW. Beban tersebut di suplai oleh jaringan PLN dan dua buah pembangkit listrik tenaga uap dengan kapasitas masing masing 765 MW. Sistem distribusi utama menggunakan tegangan menengah 345 kV. Untuk keandalan pabrik koordinasi proteksi itu sangat diperlukan agar ketika terjadi gangguan tidak menyebabkan black out. Namun demikian energi yang dihasilkan oleh busur api setelah dilakukan koordinasi proteksi perlu dipertimbangkan agar tidak melampaui standard yang diizinkan. Analisa busur api dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode modifikasi perhitungan yang mana mempertimbangkan berkurangnya kontribusi arus hubung singkat tiap periode yaitu subtransien transien dan steady state. Selain itu juga dipertimbangkan putusnya setiap circuit breaker dari saluran yang memberikan kontribusi arus hubung singkat ke titik gangguan. Hasil dari pada metode modifikasi didapatkan nilai yang lebih rendah dan akurat dari pada hasil perhitungan sesuai standard IEEE 1584-2002 dalam menentukan besarnya insiden energi. Setelah dilakukan beberapa analisa didapatkan bahwa beberapa daerah di PT. Ajinomoto memiliki insiden energi diluar kategori 4 sehingga diperlukan tambahan peralatan berupa rele diferensial sebagai pengaman utama agar besar energi busur api bisa dikategorikan sesuai standard NFPA 70E.


ABSTRACT

PT. Ajinomoto Mojokerto have a total load of 20 MW. The load is supplied by the grid and two steam power plants with the capacity of each power plant is 765 MW. The main distribution system using medium voltage 345 kV. Having a good reliability in plant protection coordination is necessary so that when a fault happens do not cause black out. However the energy produced by the arc after the coordination of protection should be considered in order not to exceed the permitted standard. Arc analysis performed using a modified calculation method which consider the short-circuit current contribution decay of each period subtransient transient and steady state. It is also considered the trip time of any circuit breaker from lines that contribute short-circuit current to the interruption point. Results of the modified method obtained a lower value and accurate than the results of the calculation according IEEE 1584-2002 standard in determining the amount of incident energy. After some analysis it was found that some areas of PT. Ajinomoto has incident energy exceed of category 4 so that the necessary additional equipment such as a differential relay as a main protection in order to the amount of arc flash energy could be categorized according to NFPA 70E standard.
