ABSTRAK

Saat ini energi listrik merupakan salah satu sumber energi vital bagi kehidupan manusia baik sektor rumah tangga komersial publik maupun industri. Penyediaan energi listrik sudah merupakan salah satu infrastruktur yang wajib dipenuhi agar perekonomian suatu daerah dapat ditingkatkan. Banyak cara dilakukan untuk mengolah energi alam menjadi energi listrik. Salah satu bentuk energi yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah energi potensial air yang banyak tersedia di Indonesia namun belum digunkan secara maksimal. Sementara kita telah mengetahui bahwa energi potensial air merupakan energi yang dapat diperbarui sehingga jika kita mampu memanfaatkan energi ini secara maksimal kita tidak perlu lagi bergantung pada energi dari bahan bakar fosil yang akhir akhir ini mengalami krisis ketersediaan. Salah satu potensi alam yang belum termanfaatkan adalah air terjun di sungai suku Bajo di Desa Lamanabi Kecamatan Tanjung Bunga Kabupaten Flores Timur Nusa Tenggara Timur yang dengan tinggi jatuh air 50 meter dan debit air 015 m3s sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membangkitkan energi listrik dengan menggunakan turbin air untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi penduduk sekitarnya. Perancangan turbin diawali dengan pemilihan jenis turbin berdasarkan data head H dan kapasitas Q yang diperoleh. Setelah diketahui jenis turbin yang sesuai maka dapat dilakukan perancangan terhadap roda turbin runner sudu diam nozzle rumah turbin turbine casing transmisi mekanik pulley dan belt poros bearing dan pasak. Pada peranacangan ini dihasilkan gambar kerja dari rod turbin runner sudu diam nozzle rumah turbin turbine casing yang pada nantinya desain dari turbin francis ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk kondisi yang ada di Indonesia sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi krisis energi listrik yang terjadi.


ABSTRACT

Currently electricity is a vital source of energy for human life the household sector sector commercial public and industry sector. Provision of electricity is one of the infrasturcture that must be fulfilled so that a regions economy can be improved. There are many ways to convert natural energy into electrical energy. One form of energy that can be used is the potential energy of water in Indonesia that widely available but not used optimally. While we already know that the potential energy of water is renewable energy so if we are able to utilize the most of this energy we do not need to realy on energy from fossil fuel that having crisis of the availability this later. One of the potential natural that is not maintained yet is a waterfall of suku bajo Lamanabi village Tanjung Bunga Flores Timur Regency with high of waterfall is 50 meters and the debit of water 015 m3s so it can be used to generate electrical energy using the water turbine to fulfill energy needs of the population in surrounding areas. The design begin with the selection of turbine type based on spesific speed Ns which is calculated based on data of head H and capacity Q that have been obtained. After knowing the type of turbine that suits for the condition the design of the turbine wheel runner stationary blade guide vane turbine house turbine casing mechanical transmission pulley and belt shaft bearings and pegs. vii In this design have been made a drawing of turbine wheel runner stationary blade nozzle turbine house turbine casing which in the future the design of the Crossflow Turbine is expected tobe used for the existing conditions in Indonesia so that they could help reduce the dectricty crisis the happens at this area.
