THE PURIFICATION OF ACETONE USING INK HAS MIXED BATCH DISTILLATION PROCESS

ABSTRAK

Aseton yang telah tercampur tinta dapat dimurnikan kembali dengan distilasi. Sampel limbah pada penelitian ini diambil dari unit percetakan PT. Putra Putri Garuda Food Indonesia dengan kandungan 6208 aseton 94 tinta dan 2852 air. Recovery aseton dalam industri diharapkan mampu mengurangi jumlah limbah B3 yang dikeluarkan oleh pabrik dan juga mengurangi biaya impor aseton. Recovery limbah aseton pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode batch distilasion dengan variable suhu 60 63 65 dan 68 FC. Analisa yang dilakuakan yaitu analisa kadar aseton dengan menggunakan metode gas chromatography analisa boiling point analisa flash point dan analisa specific grafity. Dari hasil analisa didapatkan suhu optimum yang dapat menghasilkan aseton dengan kadar maksimum adalah pada suhu distilasi 6561616C sebesar 71645. Flash point tidak dipengaruhi oleh suhu distilasi karena hasil uji menunjukkan angka yang sama yaitu 40FC. Specific gravity yang mendekati kualitas aseton yang baru adalah pada suhu distilasi 65FC yaitu 0808. Pemurnian limbah dari unit percetakan PT. Putra Putri Garuda Food dapat dilaksanakan karena memberikan nilai ekonomis bagi perusahaan dan dapat mengurangi limbah B3.


ABSTRACT

Acetone which has been re-mixed inks can be purified by distillation. Waste samples in this study were taken from the printing unit PT. Garuda Food Putra Putri Indonesia with the content of 62.08 acetone 9.4 ink and 28.52 water. Recovery of acetone in the industry is expected to reduce the amount of B3 issued by the manufacturer and also reduce the cost of imports of acetone. Recovery of waste acetone in this observation using a batch method distilasion with variable temperature 60 63 65 and 68 61616 C during the process of distillation The analysisis in this observation is levels of acetone using gas chromatography methods boiling point flash point and specific gravity. From that analysis it was found that the optimum temperature to produce maximum levels of acetone by distillation temperature is at 65 61616 C of 71.645. Flash point is not affected by temperature distillation because test results showed the same figure is 40 61616 C. The specific gravity of the approaching new quality acetone is distilled at a temperature of 65 61616 C is 0.808. Purification of waste from the printing unit PT. Garuda Food Putra Putri can be implemented because it provides economic value to the company and can reduce waste B3.
