ABSTRAK

Industri minyak merupakan salah satu industri yang membutuhkan energi panas dengan kapasitas besar. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi penggunaan energi dapat kurangi dengan menggunakan jaringan penukar panas HEN. namun adanya fouling membuat kinerja HEN menurun. Salah satu teknik mitigasi fouling adalah pembersihan secara berkala. Pembersihan yang terlalu sering akan meningkatkan biaya pembersihan sehingga perlu dilakukan optimasi jadwal pembersihan. Dalam tugas akhir ini Algoritma particle swarm optimization PSO digunakan untuk mengoptimasi jadwal pembersihan HEN. Model untuk mensimulasikan HEN berdasarkan persamaan individu penukar panas. Model prediksi pertumbuhan fouling menggunakan sigmoidal boltzman. Perumusan fungsi tujuan yaitu jumlah biaya energi recovery biaya pembersihan dan biaya akibat kinerja pompa yang bertambah digunakan untuk persamaan nilai fitness pada PSO. Partikel dalam PSO merepresentasikan posisi atau solusi dari optimasi interval jadwal pembersihan HEN. Penentuan interval jadwal pembersihan HEN berdasarkan jarak terdekat antar partikel dalam PSO. Dari hasil optimasi didapatkan interval jadwal pembersihan untuk masing masing HE yaitu HE-0116 HE-0224 HE-0328 HE- 049 HE-055 HE-069 HE-0728 HE-085 HE-099 HE-105 HE-1124 selama periode 44 bulan. Biaya energi yang dapat dihemat dari hasil optimasi ini adalah berkisar 1.236 juta dolar USD


ABSTRACT

The oil industry is one type industry that requires large heat capacity. Along with the development of technology eneergy usage can reduce by using a heat exchanger network HEN. however the presence of fouling makes HEN performance decreased. One of fouling mitigation techniques is periodic cleaning. Cleaning too often will increase the cost of cleaning that needs to be done cleaning schedule optimization. In this final project Algorithm Particle swarm optimization PSO was used to optimize HEN cleaning schedule. HEN based models to simulate the individual equations of heat exchangers. Model predictions using the sigmoidal Boltzmann fouling growth. The formulation of the objective function is the amount of energy cost recovery cleaning cost and costs due to the increased performance of the pump that used for PSO fitness value equation. Particles in PSO represents the position or solution of the optimization interval HEN cleaning schedule. Determination interval HEN cleaning schedule based on the shortest distance between the particles in PSO . From the optimization results obtained for each cleanup interval schedule of HE are HE-01 16 HE-02 24 HE-03 28 HE-04 9 HE-05 5 HE-06 9 HE-07 28 HE-08 5 HE-09 9 HE-10 5 HE-11 24 over a period of 44 months. Energy saving cost range from the results of this optimization is 1.236 million in dolar USD .
