RANCANG BANGUN TURBIN ANGIN VERTIKAL JENIS SAVONIUS DENGAN INTEGRASI OBSTACLE UNTUK MEMPEROLEH DAYA MAKSIMUM

ABSTRAK

Turbin jenis Savonius merupakan salah satu jenis turbin sumbu vertical yang sangat populer. Terdapat banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi performansi turbin angin Savonius. Namun dalam penelitian kali ini variabel yang akan diteliti yaitu pengaruh pengintegrasian obstacle terhadap daya maksimum yang dihasilkan turbin angin. Diharapkan dengan perbedaan integrasi obstacle yang diberikan akan meminimalkan torsi negatif yang dihasilkan dari returning blade yang berdampak pada daya yang akan dihasilkan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengintegrasian obstacle dengan memberikan plat didepan returning blade dengan sudut 80 100 dan berbentuk setengah lingkaran. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran untuk pengintegrasian obstacle dengan 80 100 dan berbentuk setengah lingkaran. Besar Cp yang didapat dengan integrasi obstacle memperoleh hasil lebih baik dimana untuk jenis obstacle setengah lingkaran dan dengan nilai 80 mendapatkan nilai Cp dan TSR hingga 0.30 dengan nilai TSR 0.49 sedangkan tanpa menggunakan integrasi obstacle nilai Cp yang didapat 0.15 dan TSR didapat 0.39. hal ini menunjukan jika penggunaan obstacle berpengaruh terhadap daya yang dihasilkan oleh turbin angin jenis Savonius.


ABSTRACT

Savonius type of turbine is a vertical axis turbine which is popular. There are many factors that can affect the performansi of wind turbineSavonius. However in this research the variables will be studied is the effect of integrating obstacle to the maximum power generated wind turbines. Expected with given the obstacle difference integration will minimize the negative torque generated from the returning blade that impact on power generated. In this research the integration of obstacle giving the plate in front of the returning blade angle 80 100 and semicircular. Based on the results of measurements obstacle to integration with 80 100 and semicircular. Cp big obstacle obtained by integration have better results for this type of obstacle that a half circle and the value of 80 get value Cp and TSR. TSR value until 0.30 with 0.49 while without using integration obstacle obtained Cp values obtained TSR 0.15 and 0.39 . This shows if obstacle react to use the power generated by the wind turbine Savonius type.
