ABSTRAK

Proses perakitan merupakan salah satu hal penting pada pengembangan produk terutama jika produk tersebut memiliki banyak komponen seperti Winglet Pesawat ABC milik PT. X. Biaya dan lamanya proses perakitan serta biaya tenaga kerja yang dikeluarkan untuk merakit sebuah produk sangat bergantung pada tingkat kesulitan dan jumlah komponen penyusun dimana hal tersebut sangat bergantung pada fase perancangan desain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa desain sangat berpengaruh pada keseluruhan aspek produk salah satunya pada efisiensi perakitan sebuah produk. Analisa yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini dikerjakan dengan menggunakan analisa Design for Assembly DFA pada software DFMA Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Boothroyd dan Dewhurst. Yang pertama dilakukan adalah mempelajari komponen penyusun dan cara merakit sebuah winglet serta refrensi-refrensi lain yang terkait. Kemudian menganalisa desain winglet terkini yang diproduksi oleh perusahaan. Sehingga didapatkan data mengenai minimum part criteria labor time labor cost assembly tool atau fixture item costs total cost dan DFA index. Yang selanjutnya adalah menganalisa beberapa alternatif desain perbaikan winglet yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan berdasarkan aspek-aspek seperti pada analisa desain awal. Kemudian membandingkannya keseluruhannya untuk mendapatkan desain yang paling optimal berdasarkan konsep DFA. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa desain awal masih dapat dioptimalkan terbukti dengan peningkatan DFA Index pada kedua hasil desain perbaikan yaitu yang awalnya bernilai 11 menjadi 13 dan 15 untuk desain perbaikan alternatif pertama dan kedua. Untuk waktu pengerjaan dan biaya tenaga kerja dapat direduksi sebanyak 238. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa konsep yang digunakan pada perancangan desain sebuah produk sangat mempengaruhi kemampuan komponen tersebut untuk dirakit dan diproduksi.


ABSTRACT

Assembly process is one of important thing in product development especially if the product has many components such as winglets ABC owned by PT. X. The cost and duration of the assembly process also the labor costs incurred to assemble a product depends on the level of difficulty and the number of constituent components where it is highly dependent on the design phase. This research aims to prove that the design is very influential in all aspects of product such as on the efficiency of assembling a product. Analysis in this study is done by using DFA analysis on Boothroyd and Dewhurst DFMA software. The first thing to do is to learn how to assemble the components of a winglet-references and other relevant references. Then analyze the current winglet designs produced by the company to obtain data like the minimum part criteria labor time labor cost assembly tool or fixture item costs total cost and DFA index. The next one is analyze several alternatives for improvement design winglets owned by the company based on aspects such as the analysis of the initial design. Then compare its entirety to get the most optimal design based on the DFA concept. The results show that the initial design can still be optimized as evidenced by an increase in both the DFA Index redesign results which were originally worth 1.1 to 1.3 and 1.5 for the first and second redesign. For the processing time and labor costs can be reduced as much as 23.8. It is proved that the concepts used in the design of a product design greatly affect the ability of the components to be assembled and manufactured.
