KENYAMANAN TERMAL SISTEM PENGONDISIAN UDARA PADA APARTEMEN DENGAN VARIABEL LAYOUT POSISI SUPPLY DAN WINDOW WALL RATIO

ABSTRAK

Kebutuhan konsumsi energi untuk sistem pengondisian udara air conditioning system semakin meningkat seiring dengan semakin meningkatnya kebutuhan udara bersih dan nyaman di dalam ruangan khususnya apartemen. Sistem FAC Floor Air Conditioning dan UFAC Under Floor Air Conditioning semakin berkembang karena lebih hemat energi daripada sistem CAC Ceiling Air Conditioning. Namun posisi supply AC yang ada di level bawah pada sistem FAC dan UFAC menyebabkan resiko terjadinya draft discomfort menjadi lebih besar karena supply AC lebih dekat dengan penghuni sehingga kenyamanan termal penghuni menjadi berkurang. Percampuran bahang dari jendela dinding luar dapur dan aktivitas penghuni di dalam tipe studio apartemen diduga mempengaruhi kenyamanan termal dalam ruangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kombinasi layout ruangan posisi supply AC dan WWR yang paling tinggi dari segi kenyamanan termal pada sistem CAC dan FAC di dalam hunian apartemen tipe studio. Hal itu dapat dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui perubahan layout ruangan posisi supply AC dan WWR terhadap kenyamanan termal dengan bantuan simulasi CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics. Hasil penelitian membuktikan sistem FAC lebih nyaman daripada CAC karena posisi supply AC menjauhi area berpenghuni dan sudut defleksi supply AC tidak mengarah langsung ke tubuh penghuni sehingga mengurangi terjadinya draft discomfort pada sistem FAC. Sistem FAC dengan layout 1 tempat tidur di depan jendela posisi supply AC di dinding dekat dapur dan nilai WWR sebesar 0.3 mempunyai kenyamanan termal yang tertinggi. Sistem CAC dengan layout 1 tempat tidur di depan jendela posisi supply AC di dinding kamar mandi dan nilai WWR sebesar 0.25 mempunyai kenyamanan termal terendah.


ABSTRACT

Energy consumption for air conditioning systems air conditioning system increased along with the increasing need for fresh air and comfortable in the room especially apartments. FAC system Floor Air Conditioning and UFAC system Under Floor Air Conditioning is growing because there are more energy efficient than CAC system Ceiling Air Conditioning. However the position of the AC supply is on the lower level at the FAC system and UFAC causes draft discomfort risk becomes greater as AC supply closer to the occupants so that thermal comfort is be reduced. Heat mixture of windows exterior walls kitchen and occupants in the studio apartment affects thermal comfort in the room too. This study aims to determine the combination of the room layout the position of AC supply and WWR that has the highest of thermal comfort in the studio of apartment using the CAC and FAC system. This can be done by an experimental method to determine changes in room layout the position of AC supply and WWR on thermal comfort supported by CFD simulations Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation. The results prove the FAC system is more comfort than the CAC for AC supply position away from occupied areas and angle deflection of AC supply does not lead directly to the body of occupants thereby reducing the draft discomfort risk on the FACsystem. FAC system with layout1 the bed in front of the window AC supply position on the wall near the kitchen and WWR 03 has the highest thermal comfort. CAC system with layout1the bed in front of the window AC supply position on the bathroom wall and WWR 025 has the lowest thermal comfort.
