ABSTRAK

Keterikatan pada tempat pada tataran teoritis telah banyak dilakukan penelitian. Namun sebagai fenomena yang kompleks masih diperlukan banyak penelitian untuk melengkapi pengertian analisis dan metode. Pada tataran praktis penelitian keterikatan pada tempat berguna dalam proses perencanaan dan perancangan yang berkaitan dengan perumahan dan permukiman antara lain dalam menjaga aspek-aspek lingkungan relokasi resettlement urban renewal dan mempertahankan local wisdom. Berdasarkan alasan teoritis dan praktis tersebut maka penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini berusaha mengembangkan konsep keterikatan pada tempat pada tataran teoritis secara spesifik dengan memanfaatkan kasus lokal sebagai referensi dan tidak terikat dengan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Oleh sebab itu dipilih Suku Dayak Ngaju yang tinggal di tepi Sungai Kahayan Kota Palangka Raya sebagai referensi dan grounded research sebagai metode penelitian. Sehingga pertanyaan penelitian yang muncul adalah keterikatan pada tempat yang seperti apakah yang dialami Suku Dayak Ngaju yang tinggal di tepi sungai Tahapan yang dilakukan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian adalah pertama menemukan budaya bermukim Suku Dayak Ngaju yang tinggal di tepi sungai kedua menemukan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan keterikatan pada tempat Suku Dayak Ngaju terhadap hunian atau kawasan permukiman lama di tepi sungai dan ketiga menemukan implikasi dari keterikatan pada tempat yang dialami Suku Dayak Ngaju. Fokus penelitian ada pada tiga faktor yaitu actor place dan activity. Berdasarkan hasil temuan budaya bermukim teridentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keterikatan pada tempat yang dialami Suku Dayak Ngaju yaitu simbolisme penciptaan aspek ritual dan kekerabatan yang terkonsepsi dalam benak sebagai orang dayak yang disebabkan oleh faktor identitas diri konsepsi makna kegiatan ritual kewajiban dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan ritual memori serta mental dan spiritual. Keterikatan tersebut berimplikasi pada tata ruang hunian dan terbentuknya falsafah baru sebagai identitas. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan aspek budaya sangat dominan mempengaruhi keterikatan sehingga istilah cultural place attachment dapat menunjukkan model keterikatan yang dialami Suku Dayak Ngaju. Dengan demikian dapat dirumuskan cultural place attachment yang terbentuk merupakan keterikatan secara spiritual terhadap tempat sebagai wadah menerima roh lahir sampai roh diantar menuju surga keterikatan dari roh kembali menjadi roh terhadap aspek identitas sosial spritual supranatural simbolisme dalam lingkup budaya masa lalu yang terkonsepsi dan terpola dalam pikiran dan benak manusia yang tereproduksi dalam wujud material arsitektur dan non material filosofi. Model place attachment yang muncul merupakan penekanan terhadap suatu proses hubungan antara actor place dan activity dalam lingkup cultural bonding. Hasil penelitian berkontribusi dalam pengembangan teori keterikatan pada tempat yang menggambarkan what is Ngajus architecture serta pada cara menemukan keterikatan pada tempat melalui pengenalan budaya bermukim.


ABSTRACT

Theoretically there have been numerous researches conducted however the growing complexity of the phenomena require further researches for the sake of further elaboration for definitions analysis and methods. Practically the research on the place attachment is useful for planning and designing process is related to housing and settlement particularly in maintaining environmental aspects relocation resettlement urban renewal and preserving local wisdom. Based on the above theoretical and practical reasons the research is considered important. This research attempts to develop a place attachment concept grounded from theoretical-base specifically by using local case as references and without referring to previous researches. Thus Dayak Ngaju Tribe that live on Kahayan riverside in Palangka Raya city has been chosen as the reference and grounded research is used as research method. The statement of the problem of the present research is what kinds of place attachment that is occurred in the Dayak Ngaju Tribe who live on that riverside The stages taken to answer the research question are first to find settling culture second is to seek factors that cause the bounding to the area occupied and the third stage is to find the implication of the bounding to the area which is experienced by Dayak Ngaju Tribe who live on the riverside. Hence the focus of this research is on three factors namely actor place and activity.Based on the findings on settling culture some factors have been figured out that influences the place attachment which is experienced by Dayak Ngaju Tribe such as creator symbolization ritual aspect and relative that has been set in their mind as of Dayak Tribe which is caused by personal identity factor the concept of ritual activity meanings memory and also mental and spiritual. That attachment implied on dwelling space arrangement and the new form of philosophy as the identity. That finding shows that cultural aspect plays a dominant role to influence the attachment so that cultural place attachment can show the attachment model that is experienced by Dayak Ngaju Tribe. Therefore it can be formulated that cultural place attachment that has been formed is spiritual attachment to the area as a place to greet the born spirit until finally to lead the spirit to heaven the bond of spirit to return as spirit to identity aspect social spiritual supra-natural symbolism in the past culture scope that viewed and patterned in mind of human that has been reproduced in material form architecture and non-material philosophy. Place attachment model occurred is the emphases on the correlation processes among actors places and activities in scope of cultural attachment. The findings of the research contribute to the development of place attachment theory to the area which can picture what Ngajus architecture is and on the way to find the place attachment through the introduction to the settling culture.
