ABSTRAK

Dalam merencanakan suatu kapal sangat penting untuk dapat memperhitungkan besarnya gerakan kapal yang akan dihadapi oleh kapal dalam pelayarannya guna menghindari kapal terbalik. Salah satu sarana untuk dapat memprediksikan daya guna desain suatu kapal dan bangunan lepas pantai terhadap gangguan dari lingkungan luar gelombang arus dan angin sebagai medianya adalah sarana pengujian model. Untuk memperoleh hasil pengujian yang akurat diperlukan keleluasaan dalam melakukan manoeuver pada model yang diuji dengan merubah sudut rudder untuk mengubah heading model kapal. Pada pengujian model kapal ini sistem kontrol autopilot dibutuhkan untuk mengendalikan heading kapal dalam melakukan maneuover secara otomatis sesuai dengan sekuense pengujian yang sudah ditentukan. Response yang cepat dan tepat dari sistem kontrol autopilot ini sangat berpengaruh pada keakuratan pengujian model kapal. Pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah metode system control dengan menggunakan CompactRIO NI cRIO yang menjalankan program autopilot. Penelitian dilakukan secara simulasi dengan uji zig-zag model dan dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa system kontrol ini berfungsi dan mampu melakukan lintasan zig-zag sesuai yang diharapkan.


ABSTRACT

The ship development is very important to know ship moving predicted to avoid instability. One of the facilities to calculate predicted disturbances is testing model. To obtain accurate results be required flexible test model movement to changes heading by rearrange the magnitude of rudder angle. On the ship model testing function of autopilot control system is needed to keep ship heading by automatic maneuver control according to a predetermined sequence testing. Fast and appropriate responses of the autopilot control system are very influential on the accuracy of the ship model testing. In this study designed a method of control systems use NI CompactRIO cRIO to run the autopilot program. The study conducted simulations with zig-zag test and the result showed that the control system is functioning and capable to perform zig-zag path as expected.
