ABSTRAK

Terumbu buatan artificial reef adalah sebuah bangunan atau struktur yang diletakkan bawah air yang karakteristiknya menyerupai terumbu karang alami. Perkembangan pemanfaatan terumbu buatan Artificial Reef telah merubah terumbu buatan menjadi bangunan pemecah gelombang ambang benam Submerged Breakwater. Saat diletakkan pada perairan dangkal terumbu buatan akan sangat rentan terhadap masalah scouring dan penurunan tanah. Hal ini dapat menjadi penyebab utama kegagalan terumbu buatan sebagai pemecah gelombang ambang benam. Dalam penelitian ini permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana karakteristik scouring dan pendekatan kedalaman scouring maksimum yang terjadi pada artificial reef bentuk silinder berongga menggunakan pemodelan fisik dengan skala model terumbu buatan 110 yang hasilnya dapat dimanfaatkan dalam perencanaan perlindungan scouring pada artificial reef bentuk silinder berongga. Dari hasil pengujian di Flume Tank Laboratorium Lingkungan dan Energi Laut Jurusan Teknik Kelautan-ITS didapatkan kedalaman scouring maksimum tertinggi adalah 32 cm dan yang terendah adalah 1 cm dengan rata-rata 14 cm. Panjang scouring yang terjadi nilai terbesarnya 14 cm dan nilai terkecilnya 2 cm dengan nilai rata-rata 4.4 cm dan jarak struktur dengan titik scouring maksimum dianggap nol 0 atau tidak ada. Dalam analisa kedalaman scouring maksimum parameter nondimensional yang digunakan sebagai variabel independen adalah Keulegan-Carpenter number dan parameter mobility number dasar laut.


ABSTRACT

Artificial reef is a building or a structure that placed underwater which its characteristic likes natural coral reef. Artificial reef has changed its usage as the Submerged Breakwater. On the shallow water artificial reef is vulnerable form scouring trouble and soil deformation. These can cause a main problem to the failure of artificial reef as submerged breakwater. In this research the issue is about scouring characteristics and the maximum scouring approach on perforated cylindrical aritificial reef by using physical modeling of artificial reef model 110 scale the result can be applied in scouring protection planning for perforated cylindrical aritificial reef. From the result of the experiment in wave flume tank at ocean energy and enviromental laboratorium of Oceanic Engineering ITS Surabaya the highest maximum scouring is 3.2 cm and the lowest is 1 cm with average 1.4 cm. Scouring lenght reach maximum value at 14 cm and the minimum at 2 cm with average 4.4 cm and the distance scouring maximum location to the breakwater face is considered zero 0 or nothing. Non-dimensional parameter that used on the analyze of maximum scouring is Keulegan-Carpenter number and of mobility parameter at the seafloor.
