PERANCANGAN SISTEM RUANG MUAT UNTUK KAPAL PENGANGKUT IKAN HIDUP DI SUMATERA BARAT

DESIGN OF CARGO SPACE SYSTEM FOR FISHING VESSEL IN EAST SUMATERA

ABSTRAK

Pengelolaan dan penanganan hasil tangkapan ikan sangat berpengaruh terhadap mutu ikan. Penanganan hasil tangkapan ikan terbagi atas 3 kelompok yaitu ikan hidup segar dan beku. Penanganan hasil tangkapan ikan dalam kondisi segar dan beku telah umum digunakan oleh nelayan. Namun untuk penanganan hasil tangkapan ikan dalam kondisi hidup masih sangat minim sekali. Padahal penanganan ikan dalam kelompok ikan hidup dapat meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas dari ikan tersebut sehingga nilai jual dari ikan tersebut tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu system ruang muat ikan dengan sirkulasi air laut dan udara yang cukup sehingga ikan tersebut masih dalam keadaan hidup hingga ketangan konsumen. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan sistem ruang muat untuk kapal pengangkut ikan hidup dengan menggunakan 2 kombinasi sistem terbuka dan sistem tertutup serta menggunakan 2 buah pipa inlet dan pipa outlet yang berfungsi sebagai sisrkulasi air masuk dan air keluar pada sistem ruang muat tersebut. Peralatan yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah 2 unit pompa sentrifugalpipa pvc 2 unit aerator water level controller oksigen analyzer serta katup-katup yang berfungsi untuk mengontrol aliran fluida.. Dalam perancangan ini didapatkan masing-masing volume ruang muat sebesar 512 m3 yang dapat menampung 135kg ikan hidup dalam 1 palkah.


ABSTRACT

The most important things to keep the fish quality good are the management and treatment process. Treatment process are divided into 3 groups such as living fish fresh and frozen. Usually the fisherman use fresh and frozen treatment for the fish. But for the fresh method application so far was minimum to used. Whereas this fresh treatment method can increase the quality of fish and also increase the prize. This research is done to design a cargo system with water circulation so the fish still can live until to the consumer. The design of cargo space for fishing vessel with 2 combination of open and close system and also use 2 inlet and outlet pipe for circulating the water will be done in this research. The material consist of 2 unit of centrifugal pump pvc pipe 2 aerator units water level controller oxygen analyzer and valves for controlling the water. The result of this design are the volume of cargo space is 512 m3 and can carry 135 kg fresh fish in one cargo space.
