REPOWERING DIESEL ELEKTRIC PROPULSION ON SURVEY SHIP KRI DEWA KEMBAR

ABSTRAK

Kecepatan kapal merupakan salah satu kunci dari performa kapal dapat dikatakan optimal. Kecepatan menurun akan mengakibatkan tujuan operasi kapal terganggu pada skripsi kali ini akan membahas permasalahan yang terjadi pada kapal KRI Dewa Kembar. Kapal ini difungsikan sebagai kapal survey pemetaan di dasar lautdikarenakan kecepatan kapal ini berkurang dari 135 knot menjadi 5-7 knot menyebabkan kapal ini harus dilakukan repowering. Repowering disini adalah mengganti diesel elektrik yang digunakan untuk memberi daya pada generator propulsi. Daya yang dihasilkan generator nantinya akan menjadi daya masuk untuk motor listrik yang digunakan sebagai penggerak kapal KRI Dewa Kembar. Setelah dilakukannya repowering diharapkan kecepatan kapal akan kembali seperti semula yakni 135 knot. Hasil analisis yang sudah didapatkan dari hasil skripsi ini yakni bahwa setelah pergantian diesel engine kecepatan kapal dapat kembali seperti semula yakni 135 knot.


ABSTRACT

Ships speed is one of the keys of optimal vessel performance. Decreasing speed will result in impaired vessel operating objectives the thesis will discuss the problems that occurred on the ship KRI Dewa Twins. The ship was used as a survey vessel towing mapping because it reduced the ships speed from 13.5 knots to 5-7 knots causing the ship to be done repowering. Repowering here is to replace the use of diesel electric generator to power propulsion. The power generated will become a power generator in to the electric motor is used as propulsion ship KRI Dewa Twins. After the expected speed of the vessel repowering will return as before ie 13.5 knots. Analytical results that have been obtained from the results of this thesis namely that after the turn of the diesel engine speed boats can go back to normal ie 13.5 knots
