ABSTRAK

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi genset pada kapal sudah dilengkapi dengan sistem kendali berbasis elektronik bahkan sudah ada yang berbasis komputer. Di KM Musi River genset yang terpasang dilengkapi dengan sistem kendali terhadap temperature pendingin tekanan minyak pelumas serta putaran lebih. Genset pada kapal ini mengalami putaran lebih ketika beban crane dioperasikan karena pengoperasiannya on-off. Batasan yang direkomendasi untuk putaran lebih tersebut 20 diatas putaran normal. Sehingga performansi genset dapat dijaga optimal. Field project FP ini memilik obyek genset pada KM Musi river dengan topic sistem proteksi dan fokus pada pengaman putaran lebih. Dengan rekomendasi 20 lebih tinggi dari putaran nominal sistem proteksi perlu memiliki waktu respon yang cepatpendek. Sehingga sistem dapat shut-down dengan cepat dan perangkat lain aman dari efek putaran lebih tersebut. Sistem proteksi ini menggunakan tachogenerator sebagai tranducer dan over speed relay sebagai pemutus daya. Tegangan kerja sistem proteksi ini di set-up pada nilai 5 volt. Berdasarkan simulasi putaran lebih dengan pengaturan aliran bahan bakar tegangan kerja sistem proteksi 5 volt dicapai pada posisi putaran 20 lebih tinggi dari nominal. Pada kondisi tersebut perhitungan waktu respon dicapai selama 08 detik. Jadi sistem proteksi ini mampu bekerja untuk memicu kerja relay dalam durasi 08 detik sudah membuat genset shut-down atau beban crane masih aman ketika efek yang ditimbukan akibat kerja on-off tidak menyebabkan putaran lebih melewati 1800rpm.


ABSTRACT

The development of technology is prompted application of control system based on electronic equipment even currently it has developed to computerize base. The genset at the KM Musi River has been completed by protection system that involve to the temperature water cooler pressure of lubricating oil as well as the over speed. The over speed happen when the crane is operated since on-off operation. So far the over speed recommendation is 120 of normal speed to keep the genset work optimally. This Field Project chose the genset of KM Musi River as object and protection system to a topic that is focused on the over speed protection. Base on the over speed recommendation 120 of normal this protection should be have quick time respond. Therefore the genset will be shut down immediately and the other equipment will be safe. This protection system uses two main components are tachogenerator as transducer and a relay to be cut-off switch to the power. The protection system works at the triggering voltage up to 5 volts. Base on the over speed simulation by control the fuel flow the triggering voltage 5 volts is reached the sped at 1800rpm. This condition is response by the protection system on 0.8 second which is the relay work to cut-off the power. It means when the crane is used does not effect to the system if the speed of genset still under 1800rpm.
