ABSTRAK

Batu bara adalah bahan bakar yang berasal dari zat organik yang memiliki sifat mudah terbakar Spontanious Combustion karena mengandung gas methan dan beroksidasi dengan oksigen dari udara luar. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi potensi bahaya kebakaran pada gudang batu bara sistem pencegahan dan proteksi kebakaran belum efektif. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan perancangan sistem proteksi kebakaran yang efektif dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi kerugian yang timbul dari bahaya kebakaran. Sistem proteksi kebakaran yang efektif digunakan di gudang batu bara KEBB PT. Petrokimia Gresik adalah Fire Integrated System yang dioperasikan secara semi otomatis. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan penentuan jumlah dan penempatan sprinkler jumlah dan penempatan detektor jumlah dan penempatan alarm kebakaran jenis control panel desain sistem perpipaan perhitungan head loss perhitungan daya pompa perhitungan biaya sistem perpipaan dan perancangan Standart Operational Procedure SOP. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan jumlah detektor yang dibutuhkan adalah 114 buah dan springkler 1888 buah.. Pada sistem perpipaan mengunakan pipa jenis baja galvanis skedul 40 dengan ukuran pipaNPS Number Pipe Size adalah 8 untuk pipa suction 6 untuk pipa dischargeutama dan tegak 25 untuk pipa pembagi dan 1 untuk pipa cabang. Volume persediaan air pada bak airreservoir yang dibutuhkan adalah 675 m3. Total biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk sistem perpipannya adalah Rp. 1.566.130.241-


ABSTRACT

Coal is a fuel derived from organic substances which has a flammability spontanious combustion because it contain methane and oxidizes with oxygen from outside air. Based on the result of evaluation of potential fire hazard in coal warehouse prevention and fire protection systems have not been effective yet. Therefore it is necessary to design an effective fire protection system in order to reduce lossesarising from fire hazard. An effective fire protection system which is used in the coal warehouse KEBB-PT. Petrokimia Gresik is a Fire Integrated System using Fire Suppression System operated semi automatically. In this research the determination of the number and placement of detectors the number and placement of fire alarms the type of control panel design of piping systems and the designing of Standart Operational Procedure SOP are performed. The result of the research shows that the required detector are 144 pieces and sprinklesr are 1888 pieces. Piping system use galvanized steel pipe with schedule pipe is 40. Number Pipe Size NPS that used in this system is 8 for suction pipe 6 for discharge pipe main pipe and stand pipe 25 for pipe divider and 1 for branch pipe. The volume of water in water reservoir is 675 m3. The total cost for the piping system is for about Rp. 1.566.130.241-
