ABSTRAK

Umumnya industri yang menggunakan pressure vessel akan melakukan pemeliharaan berkala pada pipa-pipa bertekanan sedangkan dalam pemeliharaan ini tidak mungkin untuk menghentikan proses produksi yang sedang berjalan karena akan menimbulkan kerugian yang besar ketika proses produksi tersebut berhenti. Oleh karena diperlukan itu proses inspeksi menggunakan Radiography Test. Pada pengujian Radiography yang digunakan pada sambungan pipa umumnya digunakan pada kondisi kosong tanpa ada fluida . Sedangkan pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dari pengujian radiografi yang biasa dimana pengujian dilakukan dengan pada pipa yang berisi fluida air yang kemudian diberi variable tekanan yang berbeda-beda dengan mencari nilai HVL pada tiap variable. Dari penggunaan variable tekanan yang berbeda sinar x akan terabsorbsi sehingga dibutuhkan exposure time yang lebih lama.Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan tekanan air pada pipa yang berisi fluida dapat mempengaruhi penyerapan dosis penyinaran yang diterima oleh film yang mengakibatkan perubahan nilai densitas walaupun perubahan nilai tersebut tidak begitu signifikan kemudian dicari kurva dan fungsi baru yang nantinya dapat digunakan untuk penembakan selanjutnya.


ABSTRACT

Generally industries that use a pressure vessel will definitely perform periodic maintenance on pressurized pipes while the maintenance is not possible to stop the production process is running because it will lead to large losses when production stopped. Therefore we need the inspection process using the Radiography Test. In testing Radiography on pipe joints are generally used in an empty condition no fluid. In the other hand this research is the development of a common radiographic testing where testing is done with the pipe containing the fluid water is then given variable in different pressure by finding the value of HVL on each variable. From the use of different pressure variables x-rays will be absorbed so that the required exposure time is longer. From the results of the testing that has been done the water pressure in the pipe containing the fluid can affect the absorption of radiation doses received by the film that resulted in changes in density values82038203 although changes in the value is not so significant then look for the curve and new functions that can later be used for subsequent firing.
